The CW cult fantasy show, Supernatural, is scheduled to release its final few episodes in October 2020. The series has had an epic run of 15 years with a variety of actors who have appeared in recurring or supporting roles over the years.

Now that Supernatural literally has a handful of episodes left until curtain call, it's time to look at some of the other characters fans have absolutely loved and would be happy to see one last time. The 15th season has already brought back a few familiar faces like Kevin Tran, Eileen, Garth, and Jody Mills. But there are so many others who have been an integral part of Sam, Dean, and Castiel's journey, and whom it would be great to see for one final time as the whole armageddon with God goes down.

Claire Novak

Claire Novak turning back while looking serious in Supernatural.

Claire was the feisty daughter of Jimmy Novak, Castiel's vessel, who was taken in by Jody as part of the Wayward Sisters gang. She became a hunter herself and was last seen in season 13, devastated at not being able to save Kaia in the Bad Place.

Claire had been a breath of fresh air in a show that is dominated by male characters. The actress Kathyrn Newton went on to bigger roles alongside Nicole Kidman and Reese Witherspoon in the critically acclaimed Big Little Lies. But she was someone the Winchester brothers and Cas genuinely care about, so it would be good to have her back before the show bids its fans farewell.

Sheriff Donna Hanscum

Donna introduces herself to Jody Mills In Supernatural

The boys came across Donna Hanscum while investigating a series of pishtaco attacks. Since then, Donna, now herself a hunter besides being a sheriff, had been one of the few people they could rely on.

In season 13's "Wayward Sisters", Donna officially became an ally of the little team that Jody had built with her girls. Donna is ever smiling and optimistic, and as times get darker for Sam and Dean, they could perhaps do with some good cheer.

Sheriff Jody Mills

Jody has been a steady ally of the hunter brothers since very early on in the series, and a recurring character who appeared in almost every other season. She is almost a maternal figure of sorts for the boys, and of course, one of the few true friends they have left.

It's true that Season 15 has already featured an episode with Jody when the brothers finally saved Kaia from the Bad Place. However, seeing that she is one of the last comrades they have left, it might not be difficult to incorporate her into another episode where the boys call upon her to help them fight God.

Ellen

Ellen was a friend and an ally of Sam and Dean from the very first season, although both she and her daughter Jo died horrifically in season 5 as the gang, along with Castiel, set out to hunt down Lucifer.

Ellen had been a fan favorite and her character was sorely missed by audiences who have kept with the show for its entirety. In fact, before Jody became something of a mother figure in the series, it was Ellen who used to look out for Sam and Dean. It would be great to have her back, even if just for a cameo, as the series finally bows out.

Ben Braedon

Dean Lisa and Ben pack up their home in Supernatural

Lisa and Ben were Dean's version of an apple pie life before Sam came back from Lucifer's cage in Hell. At one point, the writers had even hinted that Ben might have been Dean's own son, although Lisa denied it and the potential storyline was never explored.

However, Dean did become a father to Ben (for all intents and purposes) and the three were a happy family, indicating the kind of life Dean might have had had he ever led an ordinary life. The last time Lisa and Ben were seen, Dean, with a heavy heart, had requested Castiel to erase their memories of their time together. But after years, it would give the audience some closure to know what became of Ben afterward. A grown-up Ben meeting an older and more mature Dean before the grand finale would be poetic.

Eileen Leahy

Eileen smiling in Superntuarl

The audience got a welcome glimpse of fan-favorite Eileen in season 15 when the latter was resurrected from the dead by one of Rowena's spell. There was also a hint of a sweet romance blossoming between her and Sam which, typically, was cut short.

However, as it stands now, Eileen Leahy is alive and would no doubt happily join Team Free Will if the need arose. Seeing how Sam, Dean, Cas, and Jack are getting ready for the countdown of their lives against God, they could surely use all the help they can get. Moreover, perhaps Eileen and Sam could pick up on where they left off in one last romance.

Charlie Bradbury

Rumors are rife that Charlie Bradbury will be back in at least one of the episodes leading up to the finale. The fun-loving Charlie was killed brutally by the Stein brothers in season 10 and was avenged by Dean who went full-on terminator on the Steins after her death.

The series then introduced Charlie from Apocalypse world who appeared very briefly in season 13. Charlie's comeback in the final episodes would afford a lovely throwback to when the Winchesters still had a few more of their friends alive, and fighting with them.

Bobby Singer

Bobby was the father the brothers never had, a surrogate for John Winchester and a far better father than he had ever been. However, Bobby was killed off tragically in season 7 shot by the Leviathan chief, Dick Roman.

Since then Bobby did make a comeback, either in spirit form or as Bobby from Apocalypse world, just like Charlie. But the final season is yet to see actor Jim Beaver reprise the role of the sardonic father figure who had looked out for the 'idjits' Sam and Dean till his last breath.

Crowley

Mark A. Sheppard as Crowley on Supernatural

The snarky King of Hell was an absolute crowd favorite and would light up every frame that he walked into with his characteristic sarcasm.

Crowley died in season 13, and it was rumored that actor Mark Sheppard left the shown on bad terms as he developed creative differences with the writers. However, although that makes the possibility of him returning for the finale minimal, fans can only hope that Sheppard and the writers put their differences aside for just the final episodes and manage to somehow bring Crowley back, giving the fans something to hold on to the sassy demon they had missed so much.

Lucifer

Supernatural is a series where the villains have been adored as much as the heroes. Actor Mark Pellegrino, like Sheppard, left a lasting legacy in his role as the cocky Devil, although the boys finally managed to kill him in the season 13 finale.

Pellegrino did still appear in season 14 as Nick, the vessel Lucifer had used all along, although Nick was far from fun and much darker than even the Devil had ever been. However, it would be a great tribute to Lucifer, played with such alacrity by Pellegrino, to give the audience a glimpse of him perhaps reigning in Hell, as the boys fight it out with God.
