Warning! Spoilers ahead for Infinite Frontier: Secret Files #4!

In Infinite Frontier: Secret Files #4, DC's newest team, the Totality, prepare for Superman's arrival. This issue comes as DC prepares for its new Infinite Frontier miniseries, setting up another new team that will take a prominent role. The Totality is a team comprised of heroes and villains, dedicated to protecting the Omniverse from all threats. The villains, however, are not even the most controversial aspect of the Totality. Their existence is kept as a complete secret, with only the D.E.O. knowing of them.

In this issue, two versions appear of the Totality appear. One from Earth-0 and one from President Superman's world, Earth-23. Both versions of the team are comprised of the same characters, albeit with different appearances. Both teams are led by a different version of Martian Manhunter. Each individual member joined for their own specific reasons, as revealed in this issue. However, the reason that teams collide is that they both attempted to make an "early detection system" for breaches in the fabric of time and space. Doing this at the exact same time caused a dimensional rift, which the alternate team came through, along with President Superman.

In Infinite Frontier: Secret Files #4 by Brandon Thomas, Joshua Williamson, Inaki Miranda, and Nick Filardi, Earth-0's Martian Manhunter receives some vital information from his counterpart. These details that are sent telepathically are of Earth-23's Totality's fight with their Superman. With President Superman showing up, Earth-23's team are in big trouble as they've been found out. For a brief moment, they attempt to hide but that's thwarted by Vandal Savage who throws himself at President Superman. Throughout this whole issue, they are fighting. Now, why is this important?

The main risk about the Totality is that they are a covert team, meaning they operate under the radar. Hence, why they are worried that if Earth-0's Superman found out about them he would flip, in a similar way that President Superman did. Earth-0's Martian Manhunter figures that this could be a big problem, especially because Lex Luthor is a part of the team. They are afraid that he would not condone their team up as many of the team members have rough histories. After Martian Manhunter tests out his Earth-0 team, they return to reality. This is when Earth-23's Martian Manhunter transfers all the data he needs about their encounter with President Superman.

Now, with this data, they are prepared for Superman, if he ever finds out about them. Although they mean well, contingencies like this are necessary as the Totality run heavy risks. It's very likely that, sometime soon, Superman will be made aware of their existence. And on this day, the team will have to be ready to do a lot of explaining. However, as one DC's smartest heroes, Martian Manhunter is sure to come up with a viable plan. If they are able to prove themselves a worthy lineup, Superman may let the Totality go on with their business. Infinite Frontier: Secret Files #4 is available in comic book shops and on digital platforms now.
