Although the characters have vast differences, both Superman and Naruto are some of the most famous characters in their respective genres. Superman is an alien from another planet who has some of the most versatile powers in comic books. Naruto is an iconic manga/anime character and a legendary ninja with the abilities of a Nine-Tailed Fox. Both characters are extremely powerful in their own right, but who would win in a fight between the two? Can the Seventh Hokage triumph over the Last Son of Krypton?

Almost everyone knows the timeless story at this point; an infant, the son of Jor-El and Lara, is sent to Earth to survive the destruction of the planet Krypton. Although Kal-El, or Clark Kent, has a humble upbringing, he soon learns of his incredible abilities, thanks to Earth's yellow sun. He decides to become Superman, the world's first real superhero. Superman isn't just strong enough to basically lift anything. The Man of Steel also has the powers of heat-vision, frost breath, super speed, flight, and many more. Of course, he isn't fully invincible; when exposed to kryptonite, magic, red sun radiation, or Kryptonian-based sound frequencies, Clark can take a lot of damage.

When the Nine-Tailed Fox destroys Naruto's village and kills his father, the ninja life forever intertwines with his destiny. Naruto discovers he has the powers of the Fox within him, and he trains for years to use his skills for good. The Seventh Hokage has a number of wind-based attacks, giant toads, and an army of shadow clones at his disposal. Naruto can also increase his power levels, similar to Goku's Super Saiyan forms, with the help of his Sage Energy and the Nine-Tails Chakra. But is this force enough to face Superman?

Seeing how Superman has survived atomic explosions and kryptonite bullets several times, it's unlikely Naruto's wind attacks will damage him, especially when the Kryptonian can easily break the sound barrier with no damage. Unfortunately, even Naruto's strong attacks, like the Tailed Beast Bomb, will only be enough to slow Superman down. The main issue with Naruto facing Superman ultimately boils down to how long it takes to use ninja abilities, while Kryptonians hardly have to break a sweat to use their powers. Even if Naruto's Chakra is considered a form of magic, Superman has defeated more powerful and ruthless magicians of the DC Universe, like Black Adam, many times. The best news for Naruto is that he definitely won't die since Superman seldom kills his foes, and he never kills humans.

Naruto is one of the greatest ninjas in all of fiction, but it's unlikely any ninja can defeat Superman. After all, Naruto's best power remains in his ability to inspire and unite others in the ninja world. Superman knows a thing or two about inspiring and uplifting others as well, so it's more likely for the two to become friends rather than enemies. Still, if either stands in the way of the other, it's safe to say Superman can defeat Naruto within minutes. Maybe even seconds.
