Elizabeth Tulloch's new Instagram post gives fans a first look at Jonathan and Jordan Kent from Superman & Lois. Tyler Hoechlin and Tulloch will play Superman and Lois on the upcoming CW show. While production was temporarily halted due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, The CW confirms that Superman & Lois is set to premiere in January 2021.

Superman & Lois will focus on the couple raising their two teenage boys, Jonathan and Jordan. While the boys are the same age, they have starkly different personalities: Jonathan is described by Warner Bros. as "clean-cut, modest and kind-hearted" while Jordan is intelligent but has severe anxiety when around other people. It was announced back in February that Jordan Elsass and Alexander Garfin had been cast as Jonathan and Jordan Kent, respectively.

Elizabeth Tulloch's latest Instagram post provides a behind-the-scenes look at her, Hoechlin, Elsass, and Garfin on set. The photo is taken selfie-style, with yellow police tape diagonally bisecting the image. In addition, the actors are all casually dressed, although it's difficult to know if this selfie was snapped after shooting or between takes. It's also worth mentioning that all four stars have on masks, although Hoechlin's is pulled beneath his nose. You can catch Tulloch's sweet image below:

Superman & Lois won't be the first time the Kents have acted as parents in the Arrowverse. In fact, Lois and Clark were shown with a baby, Jon Kent, during the events of Crisis on Infinite Earths. However, after Oliver Queen sacrifices himself and reboots the universe, Clark finds out he and Lois now have two teenage sons instead. Superman & Lois will dive headfirst into the challenges of parenting Jon and Jordan, which will likely show a more grounded, down-to-Earth side of the couple.

Although there have been multiple Superman shows in the past, Superman & Lois undoubtedly offers a fresh take on DC's most iconic couple. In addition to raising two teenagers, Clark and Lois will also move back to Smallville in the wake of an unnamed tragedy. Although some fans might be afraid that this move back to Kansas may draw too many similarities between Superman & Lois and the famed Superman show Smallville, they need not worry. While viewers are used to seeing Superman take down evil with Lois by his side, they've never really seen him tackle parenting before. As such, while Superman & Lois will inevitably have some similarities to the Superman shows that came before it, the inclusion of Jonathan and Jordan Kent suggests that this series is ready to take the legend of Superman to completely new heights.
