Arrowverse producer Todd Helbing comments on the chances of Grant Gustin's The Flash appearing in a possible Superman & Lois season 4. The Arrowverse is currently set to end with The Flash season 9, with the final season of the series marking the only ongoing project in the once-packed Arrowverse. Superman & Lois is not part of the Arrowverse, with season 2 of the series confirming that it follows different versions of Clark Kent and Lois Lane. Still, with The Flash soon coming to an end, the series could possibly open up its Arrowverse connections again, bringing in the speedster and more.

Speaking with Entertainment Weekly, Helbing teased the chances of the Arrowverse making its way onto a possible Superman & Lois season 4. According to the showrunner, there is a bigger opportunity for other Arrowverse heroes in Superman & Lois, as "people's schedules are a lot easier to work around" with the Arrowverse's end. Helbing revealed that he "would love to bring Grant on" as The Flash and also have Candice Patton's Iris West meet up with Elizabeth Tulloch's Lois Lane. While there is a lot of uncertainty on the renewal status of Superman & Lois season 4, Helbing is open to exploring the Arrowverse. Check out the full quote below:

"I will say this, it sure is a lot easier now that the other shows aren't on the air, people's schedules are a lot easier to work around, so… maybe. I would love to bring Grant on, and I think it would be a lot of fun to have Candice, to have Iris with [Elizabeth Tulloch's] Lois Lane. So we'll see."

How The Flash & Iris Could Appear In Superman & Lois?

New DC Studios co-CEO James Gunn said that Superman & Lois should go on for a couple more seasons, so if the series ends up getting canceled by The CW due to the network's restructuring and the hefty production costs of the DC series, the Superman show could possibly find a new life at Warner Bros. Discovery's streaming service, Max. If Superman & Lois moves forward with a season 4, then that season could very well end up being the final one for the series, which makes Arrowverse crossovers more likely.

Superman & Lois not being part of the Arrowverse allowed the series to tell its own separate stories. The show has a bigger budget than the Arrowverse's other series, with top-notch VFX and gorgeous cinematography. Superman & Lois season 4 being the show's last would eliminate the need to address the Arrowverse if the series had to move forward after a crossover. The possibility of bringing Arrowverse heroes like The Flash to such a different environment is exciting. With Helbing mentioning Barry and Iris as possible appearances if Superman & Lois season 4 happens, there are a couple of ways that could work out.

Stephen Amell's Oliver Queen came back during The Flash season 9 and let Gustin's Barry Allen know that there is a new multiverse after the Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover. Superman & Lois season 4 could use the multiverse to bring in The Flash and Iris from the Arrowverse for an episode or two, with Barry letting Clark know about his other version. Alternately, Superman & Lois season 4 could introduce its own versions of Barry and Iris, subverting expectations; if it happens.
