WARNING: This article includes SPOILERS from Superman & Lois season 1, episode 9, "Loyal Subjekts."

Superman & Lois has revealed that the Arrowverse's new Morgan Edge is Kryptonian, but what House crest was he wearing at the end of the latest episode? It turns out recasting Morgan wasn't the only major change that Superman & Lois season 1 had in store for the DC Comics baddie. While Morgan has served as the overall antagonist for the first season, the DC drama is starting to get to the bottom of his mysterious X-Kryptonite plans. The ninth episode, titled "Loyal Subjekts," got further into what Morgan has been doing in Smallville this entire time.

While Morgan had been turning regular humans into his own Kryptonian soldiers, it didn't stop there. At the end of "Loyal Subjekts," Superman went to confront Morgan but was not prepared for the result of that fight. Morgan, with ease, blocked Clark's attack and knocked him away, revealing that he had the same powers as the Man of Steel. But unlike Morgan's test subjects, he didn't get his powers from X-Kryptonite; he was a Kryptonian himself. Before the latest installment of Superman & Lois came to an end, viewers saw Morgan sporting a Kryptonian uniform, with a mysterious House crest on his chest.

Since Morgan referred to Kal-El as "brother" and knew of his Kryptonian heritage, it is safe to say he knows of the House of El. The most popular theory right now is that Adam Rayner's character is none other than the villain General Zod, one of Krypton's last survivors. Whether or not that is the case remains to be seen, because the Kryptonian House symbol is also a big mystery right now. The Arrowverse design doesn't seem to be based on any canonical Kryptonian guild from the comics.

Different-Zod-Kryptonian-Logos-Superman-And-Lois

If Superman & Lois' Morgan is meant to be General Zod, then his chest glyph is a new take on his symbol. As shown in the image above, every live-action version of General Zod has had different designs for their Kryptonian House logos. If Morgan is Zod, then it makes sense that Superman & Lois might have redesigned it again to represent his House. This hadn't been leaked prior to the latest episode, so fans are left with a brand-new mystery for at least the next week.

Since this logo has never appeared in other Superman media, there is nothing to compare it to and nothing to definitively prove Morgan is General Zod–yet. If he isn't the iconic Superman villain, it makes his Kryptonian House crest an even bigger mystery. Due to the way "Loyal Subjekts" ended, fans will likely not have to wait for too long to find out what is going on with Morgan Edge on Superman & Lois.
