Warning: Spoilers For Superman & Lois Season 2, episode 13.

Superman & Lois may have set up another Man of Steel secret identity reveal for its season 2 finale. With Parasite being fully realized in Ally Allston (Rya Kihlstedt), she’s begun initiating her plot to merge Earth-Prime with the Bizarro World. Defeating her was already going to be a huge challenge, but even more now that Ally has drained Superman (Tyler Hoechlin) of his powers.

With John Henry Irons (Wolé Parks) assembling the Kent family and his daughter, Natalie (Tayler Buck), to fight Ally during Clark’s recovery, Jordan Kent (Alex Garfin) will have to step up to face the villain with his powers. However, the scale of what Ally has planned might lead to Jordan’s girlfriend Sarah Cushing (Inde Navarrette) learning of both his powers and his father’s identity as Superman. This would go against the very plan her mother Lana Lang Cushing (Emanuelle Chriqui) has recently established in distancing her family from the Kents.

After Clark revealed his secret identity to Lana, she made the decision to cut her family off from Clark’s. Lana’s reasoning was based on her being the newly elected mayor of Smallville, knowing that maintaining that responsibility and caring for her family could become far more difficult and even dangerous with Superman directly involved in their lives. Though Lana’s asserted this to be the new status quo for both families despite the pleas of Jordan, that may no longer be possible with Ally’s plot unfolding and the Bizarro Lana deployed by Ally.

Clark and Jordan Kent in Superman & Lois

Stopping Ally from merging two worlds together is bound to be among the most public displays of heroism that Superman will ever engage in, if and when his powers return. Until they do, that responsibility falls to those closest to him, including the rookie Superman & Lois superhero Jordan with his largely developed Kryptonian powers and ability to fly. The combination of both situations makes Lana maintaining her wishes to separate the Kent and Cushing families quite likely untenable.

As Ally’s plan becomes more visible to the naked eye of Earth-Prime’s inhabitants, it will be impossible for either Sarah or Lana’s estranged husband Kyle (Erik Valdez) to miss. With the entire Superman family called upon to stop it, including Jordan, the situation is such that Lana’s husband and daughter could both be in prime positions to see the action unfold. With that, they could also come to learn of both Superman’s secret identity and the Kryptonian heritage of Jordan, and for that matter, Jonathan (Jordan Elsass).

Lana needing a period of adjustment in learning that her former high school boyfriend is the Man of Steel is understandable, even with as heartbreaking as her decision was for the two families to stay apart. Despite Lana’s reasons for this, Ally Allston has run roughshod over her desires. With Lana still reeling from Clark’s Superman reveal, Superman & Lois season 2 could end with her whole family coming to be in on the Kent family secret.
