When it comes to potential DC and Marvel Comics crossover fights, anybody who has to take on Superman is probably going to be in tough. Superman is practically unbeatable, meaning unless you've got Kryptonite, it's more than likely not going to be a fair fight. In crossover art by Stephen Byrne (Wonder Twins) he illustrated just unfair an opponent the Man of Steel would be for Iron Man.

Marvel and DC Comics have had a handful of crossovers over the years, with popular heroes battling one another, and in one case, merged to form new heroes altogether. While the comic book industry was in shutdown due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Byrne created his own Marvel/DC crossover panels including Thor taking on Wonder Woman, Batman and Wolverine going head-to-head, and Iron Man and Superman facing one another.

On Twitter, Byrne shared Tony Stark facing off against Superman. In the background of the crossover panel, Captain America's shield can be seen broken in half. Clearly, the DC and Marvel heroes don't see eye-to-eye, causing the scene to become chaotic. Iron Man makes his own calculations on the Kryptonian before firing a handful of rockets at his opponent. The rockets don't make a dent, as Superman shoots Tony quite the menacing look as the smoke clears. Kal-El than goes on the offensive, using his strength to punch Iron Man so hard that his suit breaks.

Iron Man Superman

You've got to commend Tony for even trying in this fight. Either he didn't realize how strong Superman was, or tried to take him down knowing it was an incredibly uphill battle. In the end, he gets punched so hard his Iron Man armor gets completely destroyed. That's the power of Superman - he is capable of creating serious force, even when he's not using his full strength, which makes him capable of taking down the Avenger with a single punch.

Kudos to Iron Man for getting involved in this fight, but unless he's hiding some Kryptonite somewhere, there's no way he was ever going to win. Superman is simply too powerful. Despite Tony's incredible, ingenious inventions and tech, he was screwed from the get-go. To be fair, not many Avengers would stand a chance. Maybe, Doctor Strange could use his magic to mess with Superman, though. Regardless, it's a really fun moment brought to life by Byrne. Superman vs. Iron Man is a fight we'd love to see - even if it wouldn't be remotely close.
