Spoilers for Action Comics #1051 by DC Comics

One of Superman's most recent costumes was just hinted at being used for non-superheroic activities, as Jon Kent just discovered his father's gladiator armor in their home, leading an embarrassed Lois Lane to tell her son not to look through her belongings. Yes, DC hints that Superman's gladiator armor seen in the Warworld Saga appears to be used in the romantic activities of Kal-El and Lane.

In Action Comics #1051 by Phillip Kennedy Johnson, Rafa Sandoval, Matt Herms, and Dave Sharpe from DC Comics, Superman returns to Earth as the Super-Family gathers at Lois Lane's and Kal-El's apartment. When Jon Kent looks for a board game to play with his newly adopted siblings, Osul-Ra and Otho-Ra, he goes into his parents' room, where he opens a closet and is confused to find Superman's gladiator armor, chains and all. Lois Lane quickly closes the door as Jon appears absolutely horrified by what he's discovered. Lois embarrassingly reminds her son about giving her personal space as she has offered him.

Superman Has Been Gone From Earth For Some Time

Kal-El's recent return gives Lois Lane and Superman a chance to be together after being split apart, as the hero was gone from Earth while freeing enslaved people from the tyrannical rule of Mongul on Warworld. As a result, Lois Lane and her superhero husband were probably eager to have physical relations again - with Superman's gladiator armor seemingly being a part of their romantic roleplay. While it's unfortunate Jon Kent discovered the armor, Lois and Superman have been separated for long enough that the pair making things spicy in the bedroom is more than understandable.

Jon Kent Discovers Superman's Gladiator Armor

Superman has rarely been drawn sexier than he appeared in the Warworld Saga, despite the uber-serious storyline, as he wore his crest and chains while his sculpted body was on full display. Superman's gladiator look wouldn't look out of place on a Harlequin romance cover - so to see Lois Lane and Superman bring the look to the bedroom makes sense - even if Jon hilariously had to find out about it.

So, while it's ultimately unfortunate that Jon Kent accidentally learned about his mother and father's gladiator roleplay in the bedroom, it's actually refreshing to see that after months of being split apart and Superman being in grave danger, that he can enjoy being with Lois once again - as they keep things a little bit freaky by using the armor. Readers can see Jon Kent discover the Superman armor in Action Comics #1051 by DC Comics, which is in comic book stores now.
