It is apparent that Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is the most complete game from the entire series. This is not only due to how great it looks on the Nintendo Switch, but its monstrous roster size and array of stages. Without adding DLC characters, this game already has a total of 69 characters, which is far more than any other previous installment. That alone is what makes gamers still so happy about it. However, they also are continuing to bring upon new DLC characters, too. At this said time, there are 10 in total and fans surely want even more.

There are a lot of characters that would make spectacular additions to the game, whether they are Nintendo or third-party characters. So many gamers have been continuously begging Nintendo to add their favorite characters to the game. Although the company is taking its time with this, the idea of seeing even more fighters in the game is immensely exciting. It could truly help this game build its legacy significantly, which is crazy to think about when seeing how amazing it already is.

Yet, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate has all the potential in the world to be even grander. It just needs to add more top-of-the-line DLC characters.

Waluigi

With Wario being in the Super Smash Bros. series regularly now, it is time to bring Waluigi on board, too. Fans have been begging for him to be a playable fighter, yet Nintendo has yet to deliver.

It is even more irritating that Nintendo opted to make Piranha Plant a character before him, too. With Waluigi being a big part of the Mario world for two decades now, it is time to pay respect for him by giving him a spot in the game.

Spyro

Spyro the Dragon from the video game series

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is not afraid to bring in characters from outside the Nintendo world. This is evidenced by third-party characters such as, Pac-Man and Ryu, to name just a few.

Spyro is one of the most beloved video game figures from the 2000s, so he would be welcomed with open arms. With his quick speed and fire-shooting ability, it would be very exciting to use him. Even though he is smaller in stature, these skills would help him be able to take down larger, yet slower opponents, such as Bowser.

Tails

Tails from the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise

Tails is Sonic's best friend and huge part of the series, so it makes sense for him to join Super Smash Bros. Ultimate as a DLC character. He would not be the strongest in terms of power, but his quick agility would certainly help him succeed. This game is full of constant action, so Tails would be able to avoid it when in trouble.

The series would benefit from adding another character from this iconic franchise, and Tails is the perfect choice. It would be particularly interesting to see just how high he would jump with his propelling tails helping him as this would come in handy when Tails would face potentially fatal obstacles.

Geno

Geno from Super Mario RPG

Looking way back into Mario's history, Geno is a huge part of Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars. Yet, since then, he has not been utilized much at all, which is a shame.

He is such a unique character, as he is a wooden puppet that possesses an array of skills. This would allow him to have some rather intriguing attacks, as he not only knows magic, but also is full of weapons, such as cannons and finger-guns. This is what makes the prospect of him as a DLC character nothing short of fantastic.

Rabbids

The Rabbits racing in the kitchen

Mario and the Rabbids have a history together, as they are the main focuses in Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle. Thus, it would not be farfetched to see the Rabbids make its debut in the Super Smash Bros. franchise.

It is an intriguing prospect to ponder, as the Rabbids are absolutely hysterical, yet immensely destructive. Thus, they could fair well whilst in battle, even with their smaller stature.

Captain Toad

There is a bit of an obstacle having regular Toad be a playable fighter in this game, as he, of course, assists Peach and Daisy. However, this can be averted if the game elects to bring Captain Toad on board. Captain Toad is a far more confident and stronger than a regular Toad, while also having his own set of items, too. These could be used in the game, such as his digging tools.

The relevancy of this character also is heightening, as he even has his own game on the Nintendo Switch. When seeing as how he also plays a big role in Super Mario 3D World, it is clear that adding him is not that out of the question.

Crash Bandicoot

Crash Bandicoot fans are absolutely elated at this juncture, as the series finally has a new installment. With the buzz of this character immensely high, Crash Bandicoot would be an essential component to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. He is known for his quick speeds, strong kicks, and above-average jumping ability. He has all the makings of being a balanced character in this game, which would make him quite effective.

This is something that gamers have been wishing for a long time, too, as the series is continuing to add outside characters. With Crash Bandicoot being another iconic figure in gaming, it is hard to believe that it will never happen.

Sora

Fans of the Kingdom Hearts series are yearning to see Sora become a DLC character. It is entirely understandable, as he is a compelling protagonist in his series while also being quite entertaining to control.

He also is a character that would be able to fit in swimmingly with the rest of the cast. He would likely mimic sword-type fighters due to the his weapon of choice. Also, he is used to being combative, so this would not be a hard adjustment for him.

Doctor Eggman

Looking back at the Sonic world, it would be quite fascinating if Doctor Eggman joined the battle. This series has been incorporating more villains as of late, as evidenced by the amazing arrival of King K. Rool.

Although Doctor Eggman would be another third-party character, it would surely be worth it. He is a rather unique character when it comes to appearances, and that carries over to his ways of attacking Sonic.

Paper Mario

Paper Mario from Paper Mario: The Origami King

With Link having three separate characters, it is time for Mario to have that same luxury. Paper Mario would be a spectacular addition as a DLC character, as this character has entirely different ways of attacking its foes than its regular form.

Furthermore, this series is one of the most popular to ever come from the Mario world, too. With it being just over 20-years-old, too, it would be a great way to commemorate the legendary character.
