A month away from release, a teaser website has launched for Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury. This Switch re-release of Super Mario 3D World is yet another part of Mario's 35th-anniversary celebration. While the COVID-19 pandemic delayed many of the plans Nintendo had for 2020, the publisher has found several ways of celebrating its most iconic property – despite the celebrations spilling into 2021.

Super Mario 3D World was one of the remaining Wii U titles that fans were waiting to be ported over to the Nintendo Switch. While not as successful as Super Mario Odyssey, the game was still one of the bigger hits on the Wii U. There have been rumors of a Switch port for a while, so it seemed like only a matter of time until it would arrive on what is one of Nintendo's most successful consoles. The Switch re-release will have a new mode titled Bowser's Fury, but as of yet, it's unknown just what the expansion will contain.

Now, with much of Bowser's Fury still remaining unknown and the game's release now imminent, a website has been launched for Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury. For the time being, it has information that's already known about the upcoming release, such as that it will have online multiplayer. It also mentions that gamers should stay tuned for more information about what Bowser's Fury will entail – with a further mention that the full website will be coming soon.

With Super Mario 3D World coming to the Nintendo Switch, the Wii U has nearly lost all of the first-party titles that helped give the struggling console life. One of the only remaining games that have yet to migrate from the Wii U is Xenoblade Chronicles X, a spiritual successor to the original Xenoblade Chronicles. With Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury releasing this year, it's possible that a Xenoblade Chronicles X port could be announced in 2021 or 2022, especially since a definitive edition was released for Xenoblade Chronicles last year. Though since the software utilized the Wii U's gamepad in a significant role for the gameplay, it's unknown how a re-release on the Switch would be treated.

In the meantime, fans won't have much longer to wait until the arrival of Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury. It's unknown why the details of the title are being kept secret for so long when the game will launch in a month. But, hopefully, news of the expansion will be released in the coming weeks.
