Midas is getting a Summer skin in the near future within Fortnite. This guide will show players how they can obtain it. Fortnite continues with the times by introducing new content for its players. This time around, the game is kicking off the Summer with its own Cosmic Summer event. Players are able to unlock unique Summer-related skins, cosmetics, sprays, and more during this period. One of the big skins that currently has everyone's attention is the Summer Midas skin. This character was initially the final reward for reaching tier 100 of the battle pass during chapter 2 season 2. Now, he returns in his swimwear. This guide will show players how they can unlock this skin.

The Cosmic Summer event combines the sunshine with the season's current theme of an alien invasion. All around the map, players will be able to encounter trespasser, alien tech, and UFOs to interact with. The battle pass even includes Rick Sanchez of Rick and Morty as one of the season's final prizes. The thing that makes the Midas skin so interesting is that it's fairly rare for older characters (especially ones tied to the battle pass) to make a return back to the battlefield. Here is how players can get their hands on the Midas Summer outfit.

How To Get The Summer Midas Skin in Fortnite

Players will be able to purchase the Summer Midas skin from the Item Shop during the Cosmic Summer event. The skin itself will sell for 1,600 V-Bucks. Although, it's likely the skin will come in two different versions. Players can either purchase the skin alone or purchase the bundle that comes along with a marshmallow pickaxe, ice cream, and a surfboard glider. The neat part is that the Summer Midas comes with small variations like golden, no jacket, and no glasses. As mentioned, it's not very often older skins make a comeback in new forms.

Fortnite players might want to invest their V-Bucks into this skin. As the season progresses, players can earn more by completing challenges and earning more battle stars. Fortunately, this season players can invest their battle stars directly into purchasing V-Bucks to remove all the content the player isn't interested in unlocking. This skin might be a one-and-done experience since it only seems to be available for the Cosmic Summer event. Hopefully, the game will repurpose older skins as they did to this one. There are so many quality Fortnite skins that have been tossed into the vault to never see the light of day again.
