Summer House's Lindsay Hubbard is hopeful of having a friendship with Southern Charm's Austen Kroll again in the future. The pair, who have reportedly been friends for years, revealed on the first season of Winter House that they had hooked up in the past. Lindsay was hoping she and Austen could try a real relationship since they were both newly single. However, Lindsay entered the house later, and Austen has already developed feelings for Ciara Miller.
Despite being disappointed, Lindsay moved on from Austen and began hooking up with their shared housemate Jason Cameron. The two had fun together for the rest of their time in Vermont but decided to keep things casual and not label their relationship. Once everyone left Vermont, it seemed as though Lindsay and Austen were back to being friends. However, things changed when Austen appeared on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen a few months ago and made a few brutally honest comments about his relationships with Ciara and Lindsay.
While attending the DeuxMoi x Studs Holiday Party on December 10, Us Weekly caught up with the reality star to discuss her friendship with Austen, and she seems open to one. "This is not the first time Austen and I have gotten into any sort of tiff," Lindsay said to the news outlet. "That’s what happens when you have a close friendship with somebody [...] you’re bound to get into some sort of fight. It’s just, unfortunately, this one was very public. So yeah, I don’t think that our friendship is over." Lindsay is certain they will be able to repair their friendship but believes it will be different than it was before. The 35-year-old also clarified that Austen never blocked her on social media, and the two simply unfollowed each other.
Before their falling out a couple of months ago, Lindsay and Austen were back to hanging out again while filming Summer House season 6 over the summer. In the trailer for the new season, Austen is seen getting cozy with both Lindsay and Ciara, which seemingly causes a blowout fight between Ciara and fellow castmate Danielle Oliveria. Even though Lindsay was mad at Austen for all he's put her through for the last year, she seems to have moved on from their petty drama. In October, Lindsay was rumored to be dating Carl Radke, her Summer House costar for the past six seasons, after they shared a telling Halloween couples costume of the duo dressed as the main characters in Dirty Dancing.
Even though Lindsay and Austen are not speaking to each other right now, Lindsay is hopeful the two will be in a better place in the future. The Summer House star has clearly moved on from Austen, and he seems to be enjoying the single life in Charleston.
