Summer House alum Everett Weston is engaged to his long-time girlfriend, Courtney Cavanagh. Viewers may remember Everett from season 1 of the Bravo series. At the time, he had recently started dating his co-star Lindsay Hubbard, whom he had been close friends with years before they began a relationship. The infamous couple broke up after a year; however, they were on and off for a couple of years. While their relationship was volatile at times, Everett and Lindsay found it difficult to part ways.

When Everett left the show after season 1, his relationship with Lindsay was very complicated. The couple tried to make things work, but the relationship just never seemed right for them. They finally decided to remain friends, and shortly after, Everett began a relationship with Courtney. In fact, the couple was featured on the Summer House season 4 finale, with Lindsay giving the couple a tour of their summer abode.

This week, Everett confirmed on Instagram that he proposed to his girlfriend while on vacation in Italy. The picture the former reality star shared showed him down on one knee in the middle of the Colosseum in Rome with a box in his hand. Everett, who dated Summer House season 5's Lindsay, and Courtney giggled with excitement, while Courtney was clearly surprised by the proposal. "With the conclusion of our great European adventure, I am overjoyed to begin a new one with you," Everett began his lengthy caption. "It seemed only fitting to proclaim my love for you on the greatest stage in the history of the world, and am quite simply the happiest man to continue this journey and build a legacy with you." In the comment section, Everett received a substantial amount of congratulations from fans and his friends from Summer House.

Luke Gulbranson, who appeared in seasons 4 and 5 of the Bravo series, wrote, "Congrats u two!" while Lauren Wirkus from Summer House seasons 1 and 2 expressed how happy she was for both of them and was impressed with the "engagement backdrop." Lauren's twin sister, Ashley, sent her well-wishes, as did as his ex-girlfriend, Lindsay. She even added that she cannot wait to celebrate their engagement in Charleston. Courtney also shared the big news on her Instagram page, posting a series of photos from their trip to Italy, ending with a video of the couple right after she said yes. The couple had been traveling all throughout Europe for the past month, with their last stop being in Rome. Some of the cities they visited on their trip included Paris, Santorini and Split.

Since Everett left Summer House after the first season, his life has changed so much. He went from an up-and-down relationship with Lindsay, who denied dating Luke, to dating Courtney and getting engaged just a couple of years later. Congratulations to the happy couple.
