Since Summer House premiered in 2017, the show has had its fair share of best and worst couples. During the first season of the show, Lindsay Hubbard entered the summer house in a new relationship with her then-boyfriend Everett Weston. Meanwhile, Kyle Cooke was struggling to stay single for the summer while still communicating with his now-fiance Amanda Batula. Since then, new couples have been created in and outside the summer house.
While most of the couples featured on Summer House did not make it past the summer, some did leave quite an impression on viewers. Having a relationship in the summer house can be difficult, as they are constantly in one another's business. However, some couples have been able to get through it and are still together today. Here is a list of some of the best and worst couples from Summer House over the years.
Best: Kyle Cooke and Amanda Batula
Kyle Cooke and Amanda Batula began dating the winter before Summer House season 1. At the time, however, Kyle did not want to be tied down and decided to end things with Amanda before he left the city for the summer. Even though they were broken up, Kyle was calling Amanda every weekend for a hookup. By season 2, the pair was officially exclusive and quickly became the "it" couple in the house. In 2018, Kyle proposed to Amanda after dating for more than two years.
Worst: Carl Radke and Lauren Wirkus
Carl Radke and Lauren Wirkus started their relationship at the beginning of Summer House season 1, but they were never exclusive. Lauren's twin sister, Ashley, was always skeptical of Carl and believed that Lauren deserved better. The pair dated until December 2016 until Carl ghosted Lauren following some personal issues. They rekindled their romance the following summer during season 2, but Carl was still unable to commit. Lauren is now married to David Raish, a wide receiver coach for the Arizona Cardinals, and the couple recently welcomed their first child together.
Best: Danielle Olivera and Robert Sieber
Danielle Olivera began seeing Robert Sieber before the start of season 5. However, they were not officially a couple. She clearly had feelings for Robert while on Summer House, and eventually invited him up to spend some time with her and her friends. By the end of the summer, the pair realized they had something special and decided to make their relationship official. As of June 2021, Danielle and Robert are still dating.
Worst: Hannah Berner and Des Bishop
Hannah Berner met Irish comedian Des Bishop in July 2020, shortly before she began filming Summer House season 5. The couple immediately clicked and fell in love with each other. In August 2020, Des joined the summer house for a few days so that he could be with Hannah. However, the house started to turn against them after they had sex in Kyle and Amanda's bathroom. In February 2021, Hannah announced she and Des were engaged after seven months of dating.
There have been several couples from Summer House that the viewers either loved or they hated. Kyle and Amanda were a couple the audience wasn't sure of at first, but they proved the fans wrong after they got engaged in 2018. While Danielle and Robert are a pairing the fans have loved since the start.
