It's finally time for E3 2022, or, to use its official name, Geoff Keighley's Summer Game Fest. Expectations are high for this year's showcase, but the residual effects of COVID on the gaming industry (and the multitude of delays which followed) have clearly impacted most studios' release schedules. Rumors of God of War Ragnarök's delay to 2023 are only the latest to emerge - but that doesn't mean players can't still expect some great Summer Game Fest reveals.

Summer Game Fest 2022 will run from today (Thursday, June 9) until the beginning of next week, and, in addition to the main show, also includes the Future Games Show, Tribeca Games Spotlight, the Devolver Digital Marketing Countdown to Marketing, Sunday's Xbox & Bethesda showcase, the PC Gaming Show, and a Capcom event on Monday. It's going to be a busy week for video games - and it all starts right now.

The official Summer Game Fest YouTube stream is actually located on The Game Awards' channel. Summer Game Fest Twitch Stream & Drops

Summer Game Fest will also be streamed live on The Game Awards' Twitch channel. On Twitter, Keighley has said that viewers will be able to obtain special Twitch drops for Summer Game Fest during the event, although it is unclear if this will last for the entire weekend.

Summer Game Fest On Steam

Steam users will also be able to watch Summer Game Fest live through the events Steam hub page. Since one of the more common trends in recent years has been developers announcing games which are either "Available Now!" or have a "Free Demo Now Live!" during video game showcases, watching Summer Game Fest on Steam might be the quickest way to hop straight into playing something new.

When Summer Game Fest 2022 Starts

Summer Game Fest streams will begin at 11:00 AM PT on Thursday, June 9. The main showcase is expected to last roughly two hours and be filled with "mostly" games players have heard of already, although Keighley has teased exclusive reveals will still be happening. There is no E3 in 2022, but Summer Game Fest should fill that void nicely.
