On the 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way Tell-All, Sumit Singh got a case of cold feet, and didn't tell his parents that he had already married Jenny Slatten. While the post-reunion talk has mostly been about Steven Johnston, Sumit did neglect to tell his mom and dad the truth, and this may end up becoming a problem in his relationship with Jenny. The 90 Day Fiancé couple got married in secret on the TOW season 3 finale. What’s worse is that Sumit and Jenny also went against their astrologer Khalid’s advice and had an Arya Samaj temple ceremony instead of a simple court wedding. However, the biggest mistake that Sumit made might be not telling his mother Sadhna and dad Anil Singh about it.

During the Tell-All, when Jenny saw the clip of Sadhna and Anil saying that while they’d given her their blessings, they wanted her and Sumit to break up, she was visibly heartbroken. The American woman found out that Sadhna didn’t mean all of the sweet things she’d said to Jenny’s face at her astrologer’s behest. However, the saving grace for Jenny was that she was already Sumit’s legal wife. Sadhna and Anil couldn’t do anything about that. Is Jenny, who’s often been called out for being gullible on 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way, repeating her mistake by trusting Sumit again?

During their Tell-All segment, Sumit admitted that his parents still didn’t know about his marriage to Jenny. He told 90 Day Fiancé host Shaun Robinson that he would be doing it on the show, and cast members (such as Evelin Villegas) showed their support. However, Sumit seems to have changed his mind after his parents said that being allowed to stay together without being married was enough and that no marriage was needed. He insisted that he wanted to inform his parents face to face, which 90 Day Fiancé viewers don’t see happening. “Record it,” Kenneth Niedermeier told Sumit, perhaps after having read the Indian man’s mind. Right after they married on the finale, Sumit and Jenny posted a cryptic Instagram caption that suggests they’ll be on 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? next. So, Sumit’s move of not letting out his secret could be calculated.

However, Sumit is known to be an expert at hiding marriages. He kept his first one a secret from Jenny for ages during their long-distance relationship. Even when Jenny moved to India on 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way season 1, Sumit smoothly shuttled between his family home (where he stayed with his wife) and the place where he was staying with Jenny. In fact, for a long time, Sumit’s family believed that he was away working in a different city. It’s likely that Jenny would never even have found out about Sumit’s scam if his wife and her relatives hadn’t shown up at her door and dragged Sumit away. In this case, Sumit knows how to play the long con. He is the type of person who could tell Jenny he'd inform his parents, but avoid doing so to make his own life easier.

This does pave the way for Sumit and Jenny to make their comeback with a new spin-off, or a stint on 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way season 4. Fans believe that Sumit doesn’t have a job in India, and depends upon the TLC checks he gets (all thanks to Jenny) to make a living. Extending the drama between him, his parents and Jenny practically guarantees him more screen time, so him chickening out was likely something he meant to do. Plus, if Sumit and Jenny decide to divorce, his father will need to shell out an extra $20,000. At this point, it looks like Jenny will have to wait for another decade to get an invite to a function from Sumit’s family.
