The seventh season of the USA Network Original, Suits, followed the footsteps of season six. It started off quite brightly, but in the end, it flattered to deceive. The storylines weren't engaging enough and although it was watchable, it was quite clear to the fans that the good days of this series were passed.

The writers had a tough task of keeping the show afloat after season seven saw one of the protagonists of the series, Mike Ross, depart, with Rachel Zane. Without his wingman, Harvey Specter might find it troublesome to deal with his firm's problems alone.

"Good Mudding" (7.8)

In the fifth episode of season 8, Harvey has to confront some personal issues, which gives the viewers an insight into Harvey, the family man. He represents his brother Marcus, who is divorcing his wife, Kate, and wants the custody of children. Elsewhere, Louis also has to give up the one thing he loves more than anything- mudding, and he makes that sacrifice for his family. At the firm, Samantha Wheeler and Alex Williams are up against each other.

"Sour Grapes" (7.8)

In the seventh episode of season 8, Alex has a job of working with Robert Zane, while Harvey has to represent David Fox. At first, Harvey doesn't want to take him up as a client but he soon realizes that David isn't what he looks from the outside, just like Harvey. Also, with Sheila pregnant, she and Louis have different thoughts about an important thing - what religion will their kid believe in when he grows up?

"Whale Hunt" (7.8)

In the twelfth episode of season 8, Harvey, as he usually does, doesn't follow Louis' orders while pursuing a certain client, as both of them develop some heat, while Donna takes her relationship with Thomas Kessler to another level. Meanwhile, Rosalie, Alex's wife, works with Samantha on a case but fair to say, they don't share similar thoughts. Also, Brian develops feelings for Katrina, which creates problems in their professional relationship.

"The Greater Good" (7.8)

In the thirteenth episode of season 8, most of the time is spent around Harvey trying to find a way to get Stu Buzzini out of a dangerous position. This is where the series became repetitive. Every time the firm tries to commit an illegal crime, they always end up suffering for it. Still, the characters kept making the same mistakes. The best thing about this episode is Harvey's character development.

"Stalking Horse" (8.1)

In the penultimate episode of season 8, emotions run wild as Thomas, Donna's boyfriend, shares a heated moment with Harvey, thanks to a professional deal gone wrong.

Again, all of this has its repercussions on Harvey and Donna's relationship. In other news, Louis is asked to verify who mugged him at NYPD and even though he successfully verifies him, somehow, the mugger gets out without facing any charges.

"Cats, Ballet, Harvey Specter" (8.2)

In the sixth episode of season 8, Harvey has to confront his feelings again, as he visits Dr. Stan and attends therapy with Louis. This episode highlights how much Harvey cares about his relationships, even though he doesn't show any on the outside. Samantha and Donna work together, as they develop respect for each other, while Katrina is given a huge task by Louis, which could see her become Senior Partner.

"Peas In A Pod" (8.3)

In the fourteenth episode of season 8, someone from Harvey's past shows up and wants help. Dana Scott is up against Samantha Wheeler in a case and the former was involved in covering up an illegal crime, which means she now needs Donna and Harvey's help for Samantha to settle. Elsewhere, Louis takes up his therapist, Dr. Stan, as a client after Craig, one of Stan's previous patients, ends up doing something wrong.

The tenth episode of season 8 is everything that the series has come to be known for. It's frantic, emotional, and full of consequences. Alex and Samantha's fight heats up, as the former learns something which could provide him with the victory but he would require Katrina's help. Also, Donna wants Louis to become the Managing Partner because of the ongoing conflicts between Robert and Harvey.

"Harvey" (8.9)

In the season 8 finale, old rivalries are reinvigorated, with Harvey and Daniel Hardman coming up against each other again. This is what the fans don't like about the series; the writers couldn't come up with new antagonists. Nevertheless, this episode excels in showing the different emotions Harvey is going through. This whole season revolves around Harvey, the human being. And to be honest, that is the best bit about season 8.
