The official title for the recently announced Suicide Squad video game has officially been revealed as Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League through the name of a new event notice for the forthcoming DC FanDome event. Gamers have been wondering just when they may be able to learn more about Rocksteady's latest project. Considering that it has been five years since the studio put a bow on Batman: Arkham Knight, fans are right to be curious about the team's newest game.

While anticipation continues to build, the official confirmation that Rocksteady's newest game would be based on Suicide Squad presented itself as immediately enticing for fans. Given the visceral combat and gritty aesthetic of the Batman: Arkham trilogy, the concept of putting a starring role on DC's villains for a new romp more or less sells itself. Outside of a teaser image featuring Superman in a Suicide Squad crosshair-inspired logo and the fact that the game would be a highlight at the DC FanDome event, there hasn't been all that much to go on in the early goings – but this looks like it will soon be changing.

As it turns out, there's now an official title for the game which better explains the premise of this romp. Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League is going to be the monicker the game will be dubbed by fans moving forward. Truth be told, that's a rather apt title from WB Games but it's one that drives home the main task within the software – that being to kill the Justice League. While that official title is a welcomed piece of info, Warner Bros has also confirmed a time and date that fans can expect a more formal unveiling soon.

Gamers and Suicide Squad aficionados alike can now officially mark a date on their calendars for the grand reveal of Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League. As posted on the DC FanDome website, the Suicide Squad game will be shown off on Saturday, August 22, 2020 at 8pm EST. According to the website, the panel will run for 20 minutes and be hosted by Will Arnett. At the point of conclusion, hopefully, it'll leave fans with the exact experience they were hoping for.

Now that the reveal date and title are set, the plot speculation can officially take the lead. Perhaps the real villain of the Suicide Squad game will be Bizarro, for example? Only time will tell. On the bright side, DC fans can also look forward to the reveal of WB Montreal's new Batman game at the DC FanDome. With both that title and Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League en route, it appears as if the patience of gamers is about to pay off.
