As its title would suggest, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will see Amanda Waller's Task Force X fighting some of the DC universe's most powerful heroes: the Justice League. With the game returning to Rocksteady's Arkhamverse, there have been mentions of the developer's take on several of the Justice League's members via Easter eggs and NPC conversations in the previous Batman: Arkham titles, but this will be the first time players get to see them in action.

Throughout the Justice League's 62-year-long history, the team has undergone several changes to its roster. When they first appeared in The Brave and the Bold, there were seven founding members of the Justice League of America: Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Barry Allen's Flash, Hal Jordan's Green Lantern, Aquaman, and Martian Manhunter. In later issues, particularly after the team got its own comic run, other DC heroes joined the Justice League such as Green Arrow, Hawkman, Aquaman, and Black Canary. This line-up has changed in other media, with the acclaimed DC Animated Universe of the 90s and 2000s swapping out Aquaman for Hawkgirl, and opting for Wally West's Flash and John Stewart's Green Lantern to be founding members instead.

Suicide Squad: KTLJ's Hall Of Justice Shows The Justice League's Members

Because of this, fans have been wondering which Justice League members will be appearing in Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League. A brief shot from the title's official story trailer shows Task Force X in the Hall of Justice with statues of, presumably, the Justice League's founding members behind them. This also indicates that fans have already been introduced to all of the Justice League heroes within the Arkhamverse via Suicide Squad: KTJL's promotional material as it's clear that the Arkhamverse's Justice League will be Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, John Stewart's Green Lantern, and Barry Allen's Flash, even though the shot cuts off the top halves of some of the heroes.

Other Justice League Heroes Could Help The Suicide Squad Stop Brainiac

The Justice League as seen in their run under writer and illustrator Alex Ross, with Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Green Lantern, Green Arrow, Martian Manhunter, Black Canary, Hawkgirl, and Hawkman.

Although Hall of Justice statues indicate that players have already seen the full line-up of Justice League members, Rocksteady could still have some surprises in store. With a wide range of characters to pull from the world of DC, the developer could still introduce other heroes in a less antagonistic role, with the likes of Martian Manhunter appearing to potentially use his telepathic abilities to help break Brainiac's hold over the Justice League. It's already clear from the game's trailers that Wonder Woman can resist Brainiac's control in KTJL as she can be seen fighting a brainwashed Superman, so she could potentially call in some of her other allies to assist in stopping the humanoid's invasion of Metropolis.

With Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League's release date set for May 26, 2023, it won't be long before players confront the DC universe's primary superhero team firsthand. Even if Rocksteady doesn't introduce other members of the Justice League to its Arkhamverse just yet, the prospect of facing brainwashed versions of Superman, Flash, Green Lantern, and Batman should be daunting enough for ARGUS and Task Force X, even with the help of Wonder Woman.
