Video from the set of The Suicide Squad may reveal Idris Elba’s movie costume. 2016 saw the arrival of David Ayer’s Suicide Squad, the DCEU movie that among other things introduced Margot Robbie’s take on Harley Quinn. The film was seemingly a success with $756 million grossed at the worldwide box office, but critics savaged it and Ayer declined the opportunity to return when Warner Bros and DC put the sequel in motion.

That sequel, simply titled The Suicide Squad, is now coming to screens under the able command of writer-director James Gunn (who signed on for the film during his brief firing from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3). Details on the film are being kept largely under wraps, but it has been revealed that Robbie will return as Quinn, along with Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flag and Viola Davis as Amanda Waller. New cast members for the sequel include Elba as an unrevealed character, John Cena likely as The Peacemaker, Michael Rooker possibly as King Shark and David Dastmalchian as Polka-Dot man.

With so many things about The Suicide Squad being kept hush-hush, fans are understandably hungry for any and all details that might leak out about the film. So they should be interested to see new video that has hit the internet (via DC Movie News) that seems to show Elba and Cena on-set in Panama and may afford a first glimpse of Elba's costume. See the video in the space below:

It’s difficult to make out very much in the video clips, which were mostly taken from a window above the action, but the first one shows Elba decked out in a cape and very large shoulder pads and a hat (it is of course entirely possible that the cape is not part of the character’s look but is meant to obscure the actual costume). As of now, it’s not been revealed exactly what character Elba is playing, but the most credible report thus far has pegged him as portraying Vigilante. It was previously speculated that he could be playing Bronze Tiger, Deathstroke or Sportsmaster.

Unlike the first snippet of video, the second video does possibly give away a bit of story, as it seems to show both Elba and Cena’s characters wearing civilian attire and handcuffs being hauled out of a building at gun-point and arrested. The scene features a third character in a yellow shirt and cowboy hat also being arrested, but it's tough to make out who the actor in question is. At one point, a police or military character gives Cena a good shove as he and Elba are being placed in a van. Further video from street level shows military vehicles presumably being used for the shoot.

All-in-all, the videos don’t provide a whole lot when it comes to clues, outside of the fact that Cena and Elba’s characters appear to be involved in some action together and that things take a bad turn for them as they end up getting busted. It will be interesting to see what other details leak out about The Suicide Squad in the coming months. There’s definitely reason to be excited about the Suicide Squad sequel with Gunn taking the helm, given what he did on Guardians of the Galaxy.
