Margot Robbie reveals that in The Suicide Squad, Harley Quinn has a scene that almost broke her. The first Suicide Squad starring Will Smith, Jared Leto, Margot Robbie, Joel Kinnaman, and Viola Davis, came out in 2016 and was not well-received by many fans. Fans mostly complained about Suicide Squad's directionless plot and lack of character development. DC is hoping to redeem itself by going all out with James Gunn's The Suicide Squad.

Instead of attending San Diego Comic-Con, DC decided to create their own event titled "DC FanDome." The first half of the event gave fans a ton of trailers and sneak-peaks of upcoming DC movies, TV shows, and video games, and the fun continued into September. The second half of DC FanDome came online yesterday, which mostly focused on DC's upcoming TV shows. That being said, the cast of The Suicide Squad was still in attendance.

One of the panels at DC FanDome featured a Q&A with the cast of The Suicide Squad. John Cena kicked off the session by thanking DC for allowing him to be apart of the franchise and assured fans that they have a lot to look forward to with the sequel. The 15-minute video featured questions for the entire cast, but one in particular prompted Robbie to spill some juicy info on the film. The fan asked which scene was the most difficult to film. Trying not to spoil too much, Robbie revealed that the scene is about halfway through the movie, explaining that the tricky sequence took 4 days to film:

"I remember looking at the schedule and being like 'Oh my god, we're not going to be able to do this. This is gonna be impossible.' And we did it, but it was hard, and I was beat up by the end of it, like really beat up. But James was actually just texting me before and he said that scene looks amazing. That whole sequence apparently looks really cool, so when you see the movie, you'll know exactly what I'm talking about."

Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn in Birds of Prey

Her fierce dedication was noted by costar Nathan Fillion. He explained that the most difficult thing about working with Robbie is that she is "always working." He explained that if she's not filming, she's running lines or working with her dialect coach. Her dedication to the craft clearly comes through with her portrayal of Harley Quinn. As far as the movie as a whole goes, Alice Braga informed fans that they can expect plenty of humor and fun as well as action and drama.

A common thread throughout the entire Q&A is that the Suicide Squad cast clearly thinks highly of the upcoming sequel. That being said, Warner Bros. has their work cut out for them when it comes to earning fans' trust back after the first Suicide Squad. DC FanDome proved that much like the MCU, the DCEU has plenty of big projects ahead. The large cast in The Suicide Squad seems akin to Marvel's Avengers, and Warner Bros. has no doubt benefited from having Robbie in their films.

Robbie is known for going all out when playing zany characters, so a scene that left her "beat up" had to have been intense. The actress previously shared that she did the stunts for Birds of Prey: And The Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn herself and had to train in roller skate combat, so it's likely that she had to one-up herself yet again for The Suicide Squad. Fans will have to wait until 2021 to find out for sure.
