Hope Davis will appear in the third season of Succession as a member of the Furness family. The HBO satirical drama follows the members of the immoral Roy family and their media conglomerate Waystar RoyCo. Now it looks like audiences will learn more about a rival family to the Roys.

According to Deadline, Hope Davis will recur as Sandi Furness, Sandy Furness's daughter, who is the owner of a rival media conglomerate. Davis is just coming off appearing in the Showtime limited series Your Honor, starring Bryan Cranston, and has starred in the previous series such as For The People and HBO's In Treatment.

In the series, the family is consistently at odds with each other for control of the company led by founder and patriarch Logan Roy, who has made several enemies throughout the series. Sandy Furness is a big one. Not a lot is known about the Furness' other than that their company supports a private-equity fund of a board member of Waystar RoyCo, who also happens to be a friend of the second son Kendall.

Succession's second season finale saw Kendall going against his father Logan in what appears to be an intense wrestle for power for the upcoming season based on the sly smile appearing on Logan Roy's face as the last shot. It would not be unreasonable for the Furness clan to be immensely involved in that battle. It will be intriguing to see if and how they will be included and what Davis will bring to the series.
