The tables turned considerably in season 3 of Succession, with the members of the Roy family at odds with one another more so than ever. The tension rose to new heights, even getting physical between some family members. With others, there were words exchanged that truly stung like never before.

The award-winning HBO series has thankfully been renewed for a fourth season. As fans wait in anticipation for it to be filmed and released, there are many things they are hoping will occur once the story resumes.

Greg Doesn't Lose His Likability

Greg wears a business suit while looking perplexed in Succession.

Greg is one of the weirdest characters that fans love on Succession. But while they love seeing him develop some sense of self-confidence, he was also beginning to act unlike himself. He expressed interest in one woman, then began trying to pursue two ladies at once, seemingly enamored with the fact that both were into him.

He was out late partying and drinking, and when Tom gave him an opportunity to "make a deal with the devil," he took it without flinching. It's about time Greg is finally taken seriously but that needs to happen without him losing the qualities that make him likable in the first place.

The Kids Start Their Own Media Company

The Roy kids confronting Logan in s scene from Succession.

The Roy children were left in shock, learning that their own birth mother had turned her back on them, allowing Logan to sell the company without their input or agreement. That means the kids may be on the outs entirely from Waystar Royco since chances are that Lukas Mattson has no plans to keep them on.

The kids would still have ridiculous wealth, but the show needs that Roy family infighting. So, it would be interesting to see Kendall, Shiv, and/or Roman join forces with another media titan, or start their own media company to rival Waystar Royco, and try and take down their father's reputation.

Conversely, while some fans want to see the Roy children get a win, which would mean Logan finally loses, others want to see the kids get a sour taste of the real world for a change versus the silver spoon they have always had.

Even if Waystar Royco is sold and the kids no longer work there, they will still have tremendous wealth. But without a legacy, they may finally realize they have to make something on their own if they want to find their own purpose.

Logan Doesn't Sell The Company

Logan isn't the type of man who makes big business decisions and then changes his mind. So chances are unless something massive happens to stop the deal, Waystar Royco will be sold. But there's always an opportunity for twists.

Some fans hope that a big twist will be presented in the first episode of season 4 that will cause Logan to pivot away from his initial plan. Or, they want to see the deal with Lukas Mattson, one of the best characters introduced after season 1 of Succession, simply fall through. It could put not only Logan at odds with Lukas but in a tough position with his own family as well.

Kendall Gets Out Of His Funk

Kendall has been through a lot over the years, falling back into his old ways, witnessing, and playing a part in, the death of a young waiter, being blackmailed by his father, and then being used as a fall guy, intended to go to jail for his father. That's not even mentioning his major season 3 struggles.

Kendall has deep insecurities and many personal demons, but he has accomplished a lot in his journey to finally conquer them. It would be nice to see the old Kendall finally return in season 4, the one with an over-inflated sense of confidence but who also had a game plan that was rooted in passion and desire and not revenge.

Roman Becomes A Stronger Person

Roman Roy looking at his father in shame in Succession

Roman went through such an emotional personal journey through the season, continuing his strange and inappropriate flirtation with Gerri, then doing anything he could to emulate his father, even though it didn't really fit with his personality.

As the youngest sibling, Roman always had to fight for what he wanted and deal with being bullied. Now, he became the bully, reveling in the fact that his father seemed to take his counsel over Shiv's. Roman broke down in the end, effectively revealing he was simply screaming for his father's approval and love. Fans hope Roman deals with his personal issues and learns to be his own person without seeking approval from anyone else, least of all his father.

Shiv And Tom Separate

Shiv and Tom had a marriage that seemed doom from even before it began. Shiv clearly wanted an open relationship but didn't reveal this to Tom until their wedding, nonchalantly acting as if she thought he knew and explaining that she didn't mind if he stepped out.

This crushed Tom, though he stuck with her mainly because of his desires for power and influence. While he loves Shiv, he seems to love being part of her family more. He broke down at one point, noting that he didn't know if he wanted to be married anymore. With the latest betrayal, fans are hoping for a Shiv and Tom split in season 4 as things get ugly.

Greg Gets A Girlfriend

Along with fans hoping that Greg finally moves up professionally in a way that he has worked for, they also hope that he finally finds love. While he expressed interest in a few women, both of whom everyone told him were out of his league, it would be exciting to see him officially dating someone.

What would be even more exciting would be if he found someone with tremendous influence, either as much as or more so than Waystar Royco. There have been some great cousin Greg episodes in Succession, and him being in a power couple in season 4 would allow for many more.

Connor Ends His Run For President

Alan Ruck as Connor Roy in Succession

Connor seems lost in life, unsure of what to do. He initially didn't want anything to do with the family business, happy to live on his remote property while cashing the family cheques. But then, he got a wild idea to run for president. Since then, every move he has made has been calculated, focused on getting him one step further to reaching that goal.

No one in the family supports Connor and they often even make fun of him. With no political experience, while Connor's dreams are admirable, he should try and find another path for himself that falls better in line with his skills and abilities.

Logan Finally Loses

Every season, while there seems a moment when Logan might be on the losing end of a battle, he always comes out on top. The situation usually involves one of Logan's shadiest burns on Succession. Whether it's a botched deal with a rival business, the attempt at a hostile takeover, or even a urinary tract infection that caused him to take medication that clouded his judgment, Logan has always found his way out of every situation.

Fans have seen Logan in vulnerable states a few times, particularly when it comes to his health. But fans have never seen Logan vulnerable in a business sense, and that might be a key part of the story in season 4.
