Unlocking Characters in Streets of Rage 4

Character unlocks are based around an in-game point system. Points are granted to the player based on how well they did by the end of each mission. These points increase as the game goes on as well as in higher difficulties.

In order to unlock all available characters, players are going to need to repeat the main campaign multiple times with different characters and at different levels. It is a good idea to pick a favorite character early on and learn their moves. The better players do with each mission, the more points they will gain.  All 4 of the main protagonists must be mastered in order to unlock all of the bonus characters.

Points aren’t spent in a shop or anything. The character automatically unlocks at periodic thresholds throughout the game. The best way to unlock them all is to keep playing and keep playing well. The good news is that with so many playthroughs, it should become easier to hit those maximum point values.
