Even after the credits roll in Stray, there are still plenty of things for players to do after they beat the game. It won’t take players long to beat Stray, compared to other massive open-world games which came out this year such as Elden Ring. Though it should be noted that playtime of Stray can vary wildly depending on how thorough players are in gathering all the collectibles, and how many cat naps they take along the way.

The main draw of things to do after completing the game is to get the achievements or trophies that players missed the first time playing through the game. Since it is probably impossible to get all of them in a single playthrough, this is one of the things players can do after beating the game. Stray has good reviews, solid gameplay mechanics, and a fun story, so it might be worth playing through a second time simply to experience the story again.

Players will hunt for either achievements or trophies. The name for these depends on the system they are playing on, but the actions necessary to complete them are the same on all platforms of Stray. While players can complete many of the achievements in their first playthrough of the game, there are a few that are mutually exclusive, which means playing through the game again is necessary to get them all.

Getting Achievements Or Trophies in Stray

Stray Real Cats React To Game

Many of the achievements in Stray are unlocked upon reaching certain parts of the game. However, there are several that require specific actions such as getting a ball into a hoop or trying to play Mahjong. Others include finding all sheets of music or collecting all the badges. Players might miss these the first time around, so a second playthrough is a perfect opportunity to pick up the ones they missed. Still, careful planning is required.

One of the achievements in Stray is called “I Am Speed.” To get this achievement, players must complete the game in less than 2 hours. It is not recommended for players to attempt this on their first playthrough. There is a lot to enjoy Stray, and players will miss most of it rushing through the game. Besides, players will not know how to solve the puzzles in the game, which means they may end up going over the two-hour time limit anyway. They should only attempt to get this achievement for that playthrough, as worrying about other achievements only adds to the time.

Another one that players may not get their first time through is the trophy called “Productive Day.” To get this one, the cat must sleep for more than one hour. Since it takes up so much time, players should not attempt this achievement at the same time as the previous one listed above. For “Productive Day,” players can leave their game running and go do something else for an hour. Maybe pet a real cat if available. Speaking of petting cats, players should pet their cat. There have been many images on the internet of cats, and a few dogs too, watching playthroughs of Stray with intense fascination. It's good to encourage them to save the day, though they'll likely take a nap instead.
