Stranger Things star, Millie Bobby Brown, recently spoke about her role in potential spinoffs to the popular '80s-themed science-fiction horror television series. Stranger Things debuted on Netflix in 2016 and immediately became a hit with audiences. Brown stars as Eleven, a mysterious telepathic girl who was the victim of government experiments that inadvertently ripped a whole into a demonic parallel dimension known as the Upside Down. With the help of a group of local friends, Eleven faces the threats head-on as she learns how to be a functioning member of society.

Stranger Things season 4 landed on Netflix in May and quickly became one of the most-watched television series in the history of the streaming service. With season 5 set to be the show's final season, series creators, Matt and Ross Duffer have confirmed that a Stranger Things spinoff show is planned. They previously stated that the pending series will be vastly different from anything that they have done with the show before.

In a recent interview with Total Film, Brown discussed her role in possible spinoffs to Stranger Things. When asked if she would appear in any spinoffs to her popular Netflix series, the actor explained that she is currently focused on her Enola Holmes films and shared that she would prefer to pass the role onto another child actor. Read what Brown said below:

"I’m just so focused on Enola [Holmes]. Stranger Things – we saw it, we love it, we have big hearts. But let's make more Enolas. Let’s put that on Netflix. But other than that, I’d love to see another bald-headed 10-year-old get given that opportunity. I would help her navigate it."

Eleven in Stranger Things season 4

Brown's comments reveal that she is likely done with the Eleven following Stranger Things season 5. Instead of reprising the role one last time, she would rather pass the torch to another young actor yearning for their big break. Although story details for season 5 have remained under wraps, there is room for Brown to return to the franchise once her story in Hawkins, Indiana is complete.

Although season 5 will likely see the end of Vecna and perhaps the destruction the Upside Down, there is still a lot of story potential to explore with Eleven. As seen with Kali/Eight (Linnea Berthelsen) in season 2, Eleven may still have sisters to connect with that had survived the Dr. Brenner's experiments, allowing her to travel to other parts of the world. Others, like Kali, may not have had the support that Eleven had with the Byers family. Immense power in an emotionally insecure individual can lead to a powerful villain that would rival Vecna. However, with Brown seemingly set on leaving the role at the end of the series, and Stranger Things season 5 still over a year away at least, audiences will have to wait to see Eleven one last time.
