As pre-production for Stranger Things season 5 continues, Noah Schnapp reveals that the final season of the hit Netflix series will begin filming in May. The highly successful Duffer Brothers-helmed sci-fi series returned to screens in 2022 with season 4, which was released in two volumes across May and July. Stranger Things chronicles the lives of four teenagers in the quiet North American town of Hawkins in the 1980s, where the world as they know it is soon turned upside down when they end up in the middle of frightening, strange events after meeting a girl with incredible powers.

As reported by Collider, Schnapp was asked by fans during a stream on Instagram Live whether the filming for the upcoming final season of Stranger Things would interfere with his education. Schnapp reassured the fan that the Netflix series' production would not cross over with his time at school, before revealing that production is set to begin at the start of May. Schnapp's comments follow similar suggestions by David Harbour in 2022, who stated that filming would begin in 2022.
