A new poster for Stranger Things season 4 hints that Eleven may return to Hawkins National Laboratory. After three long years, Stranger Things is finally coming back next month with its first batch of episodes, followed by the rest of the season on July 1. Season 4 will see the return of the regular cast, including Millie Bobby Brown (Eleven), Gaten Matarazzo (Dustin), Caleb McLaughlin (Lucas), Noah Schnapp (Will), and Finn Wolfhard (Mike) while introducing new characters like Robert Englund's Victor Creel.

With Stranger Things season 4 quickly approaching, Netflix has been ramping up its marketing campaign for the return of the series. The latest trailer for the series gave the best look at the season yet, showing Hopper in Russia, Eleven and Will adjusting to their lives in California, and a mysterious new villain connected to the Upside Down. The trailer also put Eleven back in a laboratory, but it isn't known if these scenes are flashbacks or in the present day. Early teasers hinted at the former, revealing the return of Dr. Brenner, who was last seen as an illusion in season 2's "Chapter Nine: The Gate."

A new poster for Stranger Things season 4 released by Netflix seems to hint that Eleven will indeed return to Hawkins National Laboratory. The poster shows what appears to be a present-day Eleven with a buzzed haircut in between red and green clouds, symbolizing the Upside Down and the human world. Eleven is also in a hospital gown similar to what she wore in season 1 as she floats above Hawkins National Laboratory.

Stranger Things Season 4 Eleven Poster

Early teaser trailers for Stranger Things season 4 indicated Eleven's past would be crucial to season 4's storyline. The latest teaser made that clear by showing a younger Eleven with blood smeared on her hospital gown and dripping from her eyes. However, the trailer also included scenes of Brown that didn't appear to use de-aging technology, hinting that Eleven could return to Hawkins National Laboratory to try to regain her powers after losing them at the end of season 3.

On the surface, it doesn't look like the above poster reveals much about Stranger Things season 4 since it only features Eleven. But because Brown doesn't appear to be de-aged in the image, it could be a huge hint at Eleven's season 4 storyline. The newest trailer showed the government in California asking Eleven for her help with the war brewing in Hawkins. It's possible the government could have started reusing the abandoned building to continue experiments on abducted children and to study why Eleven lost her powers and how she can get them back. Thankfully fans won't have to wait long for answers, with Stranger Things season 4 premiering on Netflix in about a month.
