A talented comic artist reimagines the Eddie and Chrissy conversation in Stranger Things season 4 as a flashback scene. The most recent installment of Netflix's hit series premiered in two volumes. It introduced audiences to new characters, like Eddie Munson and Chrissy Cunningham, as well as a new villain in Vecna/Henry Creel, who was revealed to be behind almost all of the turmoil in Hawkins and began using people's past traumas to create a crack between the Upside Down and reality. However, a brief glimpse into what could have been between Eddie and Chrissy resulted in a wave of emotions for fans.

Eddie (Joseph Quinn) and Chrissy (Grace Van Dien) became favorites among Stranger Things fans, despite dying before the end of season 4. Eddie's introduced as an outsider, and Chrissy as a popular, well-liked student on the cheerleading team. Although it seemed their paths would not cross, the two shared a sweet moment when a distressed Chrissy turned to Eddie for drugs. Chrissy's heartbreaking death scene affected Eddie throughout Stranger Things season 4. It even influenced his decision to stay in the Upside Down and fight. However, many feel that the pair could have had a potentially epic relationship if their time had not been cut short.

Now, one illustrator, Rachel Hoo, has taken to Instagram to share an imagining of the memory Eddie brings up to Chrissy during their first encounter. In the scene, he mentions a middle school talent show, which sparks a sweet reaction from Chrissy. The artwork imagines their conversation as a flashback, showing the two notice each other during the performance, and hanging out afterward. Check out the Stranger Things season 4 art below:

While Chrissy's fate in Stranger Things is definite, there are still fans campaigning for Eddie to be brought back in season 5. Theories have already been brought up, suggesting Vecna may turn him into Kas due to the parallels presented in his shield and the dark symbolism surrounding his character. Some believe he was never officially confirmed as dead, despite Dustin witnessing the moment he passed. Others propose that once Vecna is defeated, all those lives lost in the Upside Down, including Barb, will return to life.

It is sad that the potential relationship between Eddie and Chrissy never came to fruition and that the latter had to die in the first episode. Perhaps no one imagined how strongly fans would react to their storyline, as now the Duffer Brothers have discussed regretting Chrissy's death scene. The artist's clever imagining of what could have been for Eddie and Chrissy can provide fans with some solace. Those still curious about Eddie's future can keep an eye out for any news surrounding Stranger Things season 5.
