Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) finds a way back into our world from the Upside Down in the latest clip released from Stranger Things season 2. The fan favorite telekinetically-powered preteen found herself trapped in that otherworldly realm at the end of season 1, following her battle with the monstrous Demogorgon in the halls and classrooms of Hawkins Middle School.

Although it wasn't clear at first if Eleven had survived her fight with the Demogorgon in the Stranger Things season 1 finale, Netflix and showrunners/creators Matt and Ross Duffer confirmed that Brown would return before they started production on the series' second chapter. Various promos and trailers for Stranger Things season 2 have since teased how the character makes her way back from the Upside Down. However, the clip embedded above reveals Eleven's escape from that dark and dangerous place in full.

The clip in question will screen at the 2017 MCM London Comic Con panel for Stranger Things next weekend, complete with a recorded introduction from Brown (who won't be available to attend the event in person). Previously-released trailers and previews for the season have included parts of this footage, without revealing the scene in its entirety. By comparison, the video shows Eleven not only finding a (gooey) breach in the barrier between the Upside Down and our world, but making the hole large enough for her to climb her way through it.

This clip suggests that Eleven's telekinetic powers have only grown stronger since the events of the Stranger Things season 1 finale, as she appears to have little to no trouble here widening the breach into our world from the Upside Down. It's probably not a good thing that there's now another hole that leads from that mysterious realm into Hawkins, Indiana, but tiny tears in the fabric of our reality are small potatoes next to the big bad in Stranger Things season 2 - a giant H.P. Lovecraft-inspired creature that is being referred to as simply the "Shadow Monster".

Eleven will no doubt play a role in battling said giant monster at some point, but her larger role in Stranger Things' second season is something of a mystery beyond that. Brown and Matt Duffer have confirmed that season 2 will explore Eleven's backstory, revealing more about where she comes from and further fleshing out the character in the process. Whatever audiences learn about Eleven's history this season should, in theory, both provide insight for her actions in the show's present-day and benefit the character from a development standpoint, at the same time.

With Halloween 2017 approaching fast (and Stranger Things season 2 with it), fans of the hit Netflix series won't have to wait much longer to find out exactly what Eleven gets up to after escaping the Upside Down. No doubt though, the first thing she's going to do is snack on those tasty Eggo Waffles that Sheriff Hopper left for her out in the woods near Hawkins.
