Stranger Things star, Noah Schnapp, shared a heartwarming video capturing him and his family's joyous reaction to his college acceptance. Schnapp is a Canadian-American actor best known for portraying Will Byers in the hit Netflix series, Stranger Things. Prior to his breakthrough role in Strangers Things, Schnapp starred in Steven Spielberg's Bridge of Spies and voiced Charlie Brown in The Peanuts Movie. He first starred as Byers in Stranger Things in 2016 and has portrayed him for three seasons. He is set to reprise his role as Byers again for Stranger Things season 4 releasing in 2022.

Schnapp quickly caught the attention of audiences across the nation with his role as the boy who disappeared in Stranger Things. While the first season focused on his absence, Schnapp had the chance to truly shine as Byers in season 2 with his character's possession by the Mind Slayer. Meanwhile, season 3 sees Byers' struggle to adapt to teenage life again after the trauma he experienced earlier. Viewers have had the chance to watch Schnapp grow up on the screen and to hear of his prank antics with Millie Bobby Brown behind the scenes. While watching a child actor grow up can be bittersweet, there is nothing but sweetness in having the opportunity to witness their achievements.

Recently, Schnapp and his family captured their reaction to Schnapp's college acceptance on TikTok. Not only was Schnapp accepted into college, but he was accepted into an Ivy League: University of Pennsylvania. UPenn boasts a ranking among the top ten schools in the nation and a competitive acceptance rate of only 6%. The heartwarming video shows Schnapp and his family anxiously preparing to read UPenn's response, however, the anxiety quickly turns to all out joy with jumping, screaming, and hugging as Schnapp and his family realize he has been accepted. Check out the video, shared by Netflix on Twitter, below:

The video is certainly a tearjerker as one watches Schnapp's anxiety dissipate into pure joy at finding out the news, to the emotional backdrop of OneRepublic's "I Lived." In addition to the heartwarming nature of the video, it is also a very impressive achievement for Schnapp. The 17-year-old has been acting since he was 11, and in six years, has managed to build a successful acting career, create his own brand (TBH), and get accepted into an Ivy League. Just as Stranger Things' Byers is moving on from Hawkins, Schnapp is likewise moving onto the next chapter in his life.

Schnapp's post is a reminder to viewers that the Stranger Things kids, are not quite kids anymore. They are now teenagers and young adults who continue to impress viewers with the various paths they have chosen. Finn Wolfhard recently took to the big screen with Ghostbusters: Afterlife, while Sadie Sink blew viewers away with her performance in Taylor Swift's "All Too Well." Meanwhile, Caleb McLaughlin and Joe Keery have taken the college path while also balancing their acting career. Now, Schnapp will be joining them as the next Stranger Things cast member to pursue higher education. Schnapp's work ethic has gotten him very far, and there is no doubt the Stranger Things star will continue to flourish when he heads to University of Pennsylvania next year.
