Universal's popular Halloween Horror Nights event is adding another fan-favorite series to its roster: Netflix's Stranger Things. Past Halloween Horror Nights events featured American Horror StorySaw, and The ShiningThe Walking Dead has also been a prominent staple of the horror-themed event for several years.

An official video has been released by Universal Studios that teases the upcoming horror maze. In the video, a child's bicycle lies abandoned outside the Universal Studios building as the video begins to slowly spiral. The image flips upside down to depict a haunting alternate version of the film studio and amusement park. Ominous lightning strikes behind the looming building as the sky turns an eerie red and the Stranger Things logo appears. Check out the full video above.

Netflix and the Duffer Brothers worked directly with Universal Studios to recreate the infamous Upside Down. The spooky maze is designed to walk patrons through instantly recognizable scenes and locations from the popular streaming series. Joyce Byers' crazy Christmas light-decorated home will be present, as will the secret lab hiding under the Department of Energy. The icing on the cake, the terrifyingly iconic Demogorgon has been brought to life and will be stalking fans throughout the Upside Down maze.

To go along with the simple yet scary video announcement, Universal Studios has released a poster to tease the upcoming spooky maze (see above). The poster is a playful riff on the Stranger Things Season 2 poster which saw Lucas, Dustin, Mike, and Will standing astride their bicycles while staring down an ominous red sky with a creepy otherworldly being at the center of its looming clouds. The Halloween Horror Nights poster creates a similar image, placing the four boys and their nostalgic bikes in front of the Universal Studios gate while a nearby sign welcomes them to Hawkins.

The Upside Down Halloween Horror Nights maze will be available to patrons at Universal Studios Hollywood, Universal Orlando Resort, and Universal Studios Singapore. Halloween Horror Nights will begin Friday, September 14 in both Hollywood and Florida. Singapore's Halloween Horror Nights event will begin Friday, September 28. More details about the event will be released in the near future, but tickets are already available for purchase for Universal Orlando Resort's Halloween Horror Nights event.
