The cast of Stranger Things played a game of Dungeons & Dragons and you can now watch the whole thing. The Netflix show was an overnight success when it premiered in 2016. It's perfect combination of '80s nostalgia and Spielbergian adventures helped it become Netflix's most popular original show. Starring Noah Schnapp, Finn Wolfhard, Millie Bobby Brown, and David Harbour, the show followed a group of preteens in Hawkins, Indiana as they investigate the mysterious disappearance of their friend and D&D teammate Will Byers (Schnapp).

Season 3 of Stranger Things came out all the way back in July 2019, and the show has suffered a series of setbacks on its way towards the season 4 premiere. The pandemic shut down filming of the fourth season earlier this year. Originally aiming for a premiere in early 2021, it is now unknown when the next season will premiere. Production resumed in the fall, but still no word on when Stranger Things season 4 will hit the streamer.

To hold fans over, the cast reunited virtually to play a game of Dungeons & Dragons on the Stranger Things YouTube channel. A little Christmas present for fans itching for the new season, the game features cast members Harbour, Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, and Natalia Dyer. In the game called Lost Odyssey: Toy Time for Ten-Towns, Harbour is playing Kenny Kaboom, Wolfhard is Sylvester the Wise, Matarazzo is Meryl Stroop, and Dyer is Jinx. Chris Perkins, a principal game designer for Dungeons & Dragons, presides as the game master. Watch their entire adventure below:

The video is a little treat for fans dying to see these actors together again on screen for Stranger Things season 4. Theories galore have hit the internet, hoping to piece together just what the next season has in store for fans. With no word on when the new season could premiere, though, any Stranger Things content will have to do. This game of Dungeons & Dragons is a little Christmas treat for fans who are missing their favorite characters. With a film adaptation of Dungeons & Dragons starring Chris Pine in the works, it's the perfect time to hype up the upcoming season and the game that could soon become a blockbuster film.

The game is also a sly callback to the first season of Strangers Things as the show opens with the core group of Wolfhard, Schnapp, Matarazzo, and Caleb McLaughlin playing a game of D&D. That game hints at the first season's villain, the Demogorgon, and that fateful night eventually leads to the disappearance of Will Byers, the driving force of the first season's plot. With the wait not over for Stranger Things season 4, fans can watch this video of cast playing the game that started it all to tide them over during the holiday season.
