From time to time there is a show that by the end of its first season becomes an absolute hit and it creates a massive international fan base. The American science fiction horror series Stranger Things brought instant fame to the main cast and ever since then their lives have changed completely. Since the majority of the main actors were at the start of their teenage years this level of success gave their careers an incredible advantage.

Winona Ryder: Little Women (1994)

Winona Ryder has had quite the career even before she was cast to play the role of Joyce Byers in Stranger Things. In 1994 she was cast to play the lead in the movie Little Women where she portrayed the character of Jo March.

Joe Keery: Molly's Game (2017)

She was cast to portray the character of Alice who is a teenager sent to a Roman Catholic retreat program for high school and college students.

He began with Stranger Things in 2016 and continued by being cast to play the role of. Richie Tozier in It in 2017 and It: Chapter Two in 2019. Another horror movie Finn did was The Turning, a 2020 slow-burn adaptation of The Turning of the Screw.
