Steven Yeun's portrayal as Glenn Rhee in The Walking Dead is still the actor's biggest role to date, but that could change as he continues receiving noteworthy gigs. Yeun starred in the apocalyptic drama based on the comic books by Robert Kirkman from 2010 to 2016. Though the series has continued since Yeun's departure, Glenn will always be a fan-favorite character. Before acquiring the life-altering role, Yeun appeared in Power Rangers: Dino Thunder and an episode of The Big Bang Theory. He also gained film experience with his role in the 2009 indie titled My Name Is Jerry.

While portraying the good-natured leader in The Walking Dead through season 6, Yeun worked on several other notable series. In 2011, the actor had cameos in Law & Order: LA and Warehouse 13, followed by a role in NTSF:SD:SUV::. In addition, Yeun voiced Avatar Wan in The Legend of Korra while also appearing in episodes of Comedy Bang! Bang! and Drunk History. As for the film side of his career, Yeun starred in another indie titled I Origins in addition to 2015's Like a French Film.

Yeun tenure playing Glenn came to an end in the brutal season 7 premiere of The Walking Dead in 2016. After appearing in 66 episodes, Yeun didn't waste time moving on to new projects. The same year his role on The Walking Dead ended, the actor began voicing Keith in Voltron: Legendary Defender and Steve Palchuk in Netflix's Trollhunters: Tales of Arcadia. Yeun notably reprised his role as Steve for 3Below: Tales of Arcadia in 2018. During that span, he also had key voice roles in Stretch Armstrong and the Flex Fighters, Final Space, and Robot Chicken for a special The Walking Dead-themed episode. Yeun's film career subsequently took off when his time as Glenn ended, seeing as he starred in noteworthy movies like Okja, Mayhem, The Star, Sorry to Bother You, and Burning, which obtained several awards nominations and wins.

More recently, Yeun had a leading role of Jacob Yi in Minari, a drama that centers on a family of South Korean immigrants who move to the rural United States in the '80s. The movie, which continues to garner awards buzz, serves as a semi-autobiographical look in director Lee Isaac Chung's American upbringing. On the TV side, Yeun recently appeared in episodes of Weird City, The Twilight Zone, and Ride with Norman Reedus, a travel series centered on his former Walking Dead co-star. Yeun also voiced Speckle in Tuca & Bertie before reprising his role of Steve Palchuk for Wizards: Tales of Arcadia.

Next up, Yeun will portray another comic book character created by Kirkman, but this time, he will be in animated form. The actor is set to voice Mark Grayson, the titular figure in Amazon Prime's Invincible series. The show will also feature other veterans from The Walking Dead, including Lauren Cohan, Khary Payton, Sonequa Martin-Green, Chad L. Coleman, Michael Cudlitz, Lennie James, and Ross Marquand. Other than that, Yeun will be seen in the upcoming drama titled The Humans. The movie, directed by Stephen Karam, is based on the one-act play of the same name and will feature other notable names like Amy Schumer, Beanie Feldstein, Richard Jenkins, and June Squibb.
