Steelrising is home to many different enemies and bosses, but none are more intimidating than titans such as The Bishop of the Cité, as they are likely the strongest foes that players will face in the game. In Steelrising, players will take on the role of Aegis, an automaton and the bodyguard of Queen Marie Antoinette in an alternative-history French Revolution. As players progress in this fast and fluid soulslike game, they will be met with tons of mechanized enemies, and among the strongest ones are titans, special bosses with unique moves whose fights are often split into several phases as they transform and increase in power.
The Bishop of the Cité is one of the first titan bosses that players are likely to encounter in the game and to defeat it, they will need to master stamina management. Like most other soulslike games, Steelrising limits the protagonist through the use of stamina, which is consumed whenever players perform actions such as attacking or dodging. Knowing how to manage stamina to keep it from depleting is extremely important in the game, as it leaves players incredibly vulnerable since they will not be able to dodge enemy attacks.
Something else that can make boss fights much easier for players is to make sure they upgrade their weapons in Steelrising. The game offers a lot of variety when it comes to choosing a weapon, and all of them are viable against most enemies as long as players make sure to improve them. This can be done at a Vestal through the Upgrade Weapons menu, but will require players to have the proper materials and pay a price in Anima.
How to Defeat The Bishop of the Cité Titan in Steelrising
As most players might have guessed, The Bishop of the Cité is located in La Cité, and consists of three phases that will trigger every time a third of its health is gone. Its attacks consist of staff strikes that can be outranged by backstepping, and a book-throwing attack that should be sidestepped. During the second phase of this boss fight in this underrated soulslike game, blades will appear around the Bishop, and it will start chasing the player. During phase three it will do the same, but the blades will now be on fire, and the boss will leave a trail of flames behind it.
During the first phase, players should bait out the boss's staff attacks and back up until it tires itself out and bends its torso towards the ground. The ball portion of the boss is invulnerable, so players will need to use this opportunity to deal as much damage to its upper half as they can. During the second and third phases of this boss fight in Steelrising, players should avoid running away from the boss' charging attack and instead sidestep it until it tuckers itself out, at which point, they should punish the Bishop just like in phase one.
