Stargirl season 2 has officially joined The CW line-up permanently as the entire cast is back, along with a couple of new actors taking on some major DC characters. After discovering the Justice Society of America's legacy, Courtney took on Starman's mantle and revived the Golden Age team with new heroes. Initially, Stargirl was co-airing on DC Universe and The CW, with the latter airing a new episode the day after the streaming service. However, for Stargirl season 2, the DC drama is becoming an exclusive series to The CW, as DC Universe is revamped into a comics app.

Despite Stargirl not being set on Earth-Prime with the other heroes, the show is still considered part of the Arrowverse. Even before Stargirl season 1 had premiered, Crisis on Infinite Earths established that the JSA heroes lived on a new version of Earth-2. There were initially plans for Stargirl and The Flash to have a crossover, but scheduling issues prevented that. However, Stargirl season 2 will begin building its bridges with the larger Arrowverse.

How many new actors are boarding Stargirl season 2, who are they playing, and which cast members are back from the first season?

While Shipp is no stranger to fans of The Flash, the actor will be joining Stargirl season 2 as Jay Garrick from Earth-2. So far, Shipp is set to appear at least in the ninth episode, although Jay may pop up throughout the season. Whether or not Shipp's Stargirl appearance will connect with Jay's The Flash season 7 appearance remains to be seen. Before joining the Arrowverse, Shipp was best known for playing Barry Allen in his The Flash show from the '90s. During The Flash's early seasons, Shipp also portrayed Barry's father, Henry in the Arrowverse. Besides his DC legacy, Shipp's filmography includes Dawson's Creek, Teen Wolf, and One Life to Live.
