Stargirl has officially premiered on DC Universe as the latest live-action series from DC Comics, and here are all the characters and their powers. From executive producer Geoff Johns, Courtney's journey will not only follow how she takes on Starman's mantle, but also others who will adopt various DC legacies from the comics.

As the third original series from the DC streaming service as well as another Arrowverse-adjacent show, Courtney Whitmore discovers the legacy of the Justice Society of America while also becoming her own hero. But with heroes come villains, and for Stargirl that is the Injustice Society of America featuring several vicious foes from the DC Comics.

As the first season has just begun, there are almost just as many heroes as there are villains introduced at the beginning of Stargirl. With most of them established from the DC lore, the first year will see some of them already established as their hero and villain counterparts while others will begin discovering their destinies.

Having lived in California her whole life, Courtney goes through many changes when her mom Barbara marries Pat Dugan and decides to move to Blue Valley, Nebraska with him and his son Mike. Courtney, who isn't ready for anyone to take her father's place, quickly begins to bond with Pat when she discovers Starman's Cosmic staff. The staff allows her to shoot cosmic energy and fly, beginning her journey as Stargirl. Bassinger first appeared as Stargirl on Legends of Tomorrow, and starred in 47 Meters Down: Uncaged.

Pat Dugan/Stripsey/S.T.R.I.P.E. (Luke Wilson): Having worked with Starman as Stripsey, Pat is Courtney's connection to the Justice Society once she finds Sylvester's old costume and cosmic staff. Pat is a talented mechanic who joins Stargirl's quest with his 15-foot robot that gets named S.T.R.I.P.E, allowing him to fly and join massive battles. Wilson is best known as the lead in Mike Judge's Idiocracy.

Yolanda Montez/Wildcat II (Yvette Monreal): One of the misfits whom Courtney meets is Yolanda who will become the second Wildcat. When viewers first meet her in the pilot, she's being bullied. Monreal had a prominent supporting role in Rambo: Last Blood.

Beth Chapel/Doctor Mid-Nite II (Anjelika Washington): Another outsider whom Courtney befriends is Beth, an eager-witty high school student who becomes the second Dr. Mid-Nite. Stargirl will be Washington's most prominent project to date.

Rick Tyler/Hourman II (Cameron Gellman): Perhaps the most mysterious out of the three misfits is Rick who has a chip on his shoulder at the beginning that may or may not be helpful when he becomes the second Hourman. Gellman had supporting roles on the TV series The Good Doctor and Heathers.

Blue Valley High School:

Henry King Jr (Jake Austin Walker): One of the high school bullies Courtney deals with is Henry King Jr., son of Brainwave, and he is one of the boys to bully Yolanda in the pilot. Walker had a one-episode role on Fear the Walking Dead before a featured role on the TV series Five Points.

Cameron (Hunter Sansone): The ambiguous Cameron is so far Stargirl's most mysterious character as his last name has yet to be revealed. Stargirl is Sansone's most prominent project to date.

Cindy Burman (Meg DeLacy): Coming off as a typical Queen Bee, Cindy becomes the first person to welcome Courtney to Blue Valley High School. DeLacy joined the cast of The Fosters in 2017.

Injustice Society of America:

Jordan Mahkent/Icicle (Neil Jackson): Icicle is one of the leading forces of the Injustice Society and is the villain that kills Starman with his ice abilities. Jackson had supporting roles in Welcome to Marwen and Nocturnal Animals.

Henry King Sr./Brainwave (Christopher James Baker): The first villain Stargirl battles from the Injustice Society is the powerful Brainwave whose telekinesis and telepathy almost beat Courtney in her first outing. Baker crosses to DC TV after appearing as Malachi on Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Paula Brooks/Tigress (Joy Osmanski): While she has no powers, Tigress is a formidable Injustice Society member with massive fighting skills as seen in the flashbacks. Osmanski also appeared on The Fosters and voiced a supporting character in Amy Poehler's animated series Duncanville.

Lawrence "Crusher" Crock/Sportsmaster (Neil Hopkins): Obsessed with sports-related weapons, Sportsmaster is another non-super-powered member with impressive fighting abilities. Hopkins is known for playing Liam Pace on Lost.

Dr. Ito/Dragon King (Nelson Lee): Little is known about the intimidating Dragon King other than that he performs controversial experiments on others as well as himself. Lee can be seen in the upcoming live-action remake of Mulan.

JSA: The First Generation

Sylvester Pemberton/Starman (Joel McHale): Before Stargirl, there was Starman who was a leading member of the JSA and the original owner of the Cosmic staff. With Pat as his sidekick, Sylvester operated as Star-Spangled Kid before taking on the Starman name. McHale is best known for playing the lead, Jeff, in Community.

Ted Grant/Wildcat (Brian Stapf): While Ted was known as a heavyweight boxer, he was also the superhero Wildcat, another JSA member the Injustice Society defeated. Stapf had a three-episode run on The Walking Dead.

Rex Tyler/Hourman (Lou Ferrigno Jr.): Another original JSA member who loses against the Injustice Society is Hourman who has the ability to gain super-strength for one hour only per day. The son of the TV series' Hulk, Ferrigno has appeared in S.W.A.T. and The Young and the Restless.

Charles McNider/Doctor Mid-Nite (Henry Thomas): With the gift to see perfectly in the dark, Dr. Mid-Nite was another victim to lose against the Injustice Society. As a child actor, Thomas starred in E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial and most recently appeared in The Haunting of Hill House.

The Dugan-Whitmore Family

Mike Dugan (Trae Romano): Pat's teenage son who seems more focused on video games than focusing on his new expanded family. Stargirl is Romano's first recurring role.
