The Teen Titans are one of the most popular superteams in the DC Universe, with Starfire being one of their most explosive and popular members. Princess Koriand'r has captured the hearts of a generation of comic book readers and viewers of the Teen Titans animated series with her fiery powers and beautiful looks. Now, the hero is being brought to life in a stunning cosplay from @heirofglee, which showcases Starfire like never before.
Starfire debuted in DC Comics Presents #26 and was created by Marv Wolfman and George Perez. That first appearance also introduced Raven and Cyborg to the DC Universe as the heroes would eventually form the New Teen Titans. Starfire has a deeply tragic origin, as the Tamaranean watched her evil sister Blackfire lead the charge in destroying their civilization after she was expelled from the planet for trying to kill Koriand'r. After breaking free from her sister's enslavement, Starfire ended up landing on Earth and joining the Teen Titans. Starfire can shoot fiery ultraviolent blasts of energy and fly. She's often been paired romantically with Dick Grayson. The character was brought to live-action as Anna Diop portrays the hero on the HBO Max series, Titans.
In a stunning new cosplay shared on her Twitter account, @heirofglee (Phillicia Deanell) showed off her take on Starfire. The look seems to be inspired by Starfire's amazing costume from the Super Sons by Peter Tomasi, Jorge Jimenez, Alejandro Sanchez, and Rob Leigh. Despite not playing a huge role in the series, it's hard to deny the costume is an incredible look for the Tamaranean hero. The costume is practical but keeps the character's trademark sex appeal and some details of her past costumes. @heirofglee perfectly brings the costume to life, as her costume is ripped right from the comics with her one-piece suit, long gloves, and boots.
Perhaps most impressively, @heirofglee custom-painted mini sclera lens so that her eyes would have the same fiery effects that Starfire has when she's using her powers. Plus, Starfire's beautiful hair is styled incredibly in the look. It's a high-effort cosplay that does Starfire proud.
Starfire is a popular character on the cosplay scene, but @heirofglee manages to make the character her own in a comic-accurate look that features some awesome details. Princess Koriand'r looks like she's about to kick ass and take names while looking absolutely gorgeous in the process. The Starfire cosplay is fantastic.
