Despite being several years since it originally released, Stardew Valley has now granted players a bunch of brand new content update with hours of things to check out. This is by far the largest update that Stardew Valley has ever received, and many fans are still at a loss as to what they should check out first. There is a whole new island to explore, updated and changed game mechanics, and even new items for players to collect.
One of the more interesting inclusions with the new update though is the different puzzles that players will find on Ginger Island. While Stardew Valley has always been packed full of secrets to uncover, there are precious few actual puzzles throughout the game's run. This means that these puzzles are uncharted territory for a lot of Stardew players, and therefore may be a little troubling to solve. One such puzzle is the bird puzzle that players will find in the jungle. This guide shows players how to solve it.
Stardew Valley: How to Solve Bird Puzzle
In order to track down this puzzle players will need to go to the new Ginger Island and go to the eastern part of the island. There will be a small gap in the trees next to Leo's treehouse that the player can then walkthrough. Once through here the player will discover a statue surrounded by four bird-like pedestals. Players will then be able to interact with the statue to be given a riddle to solve:
"When dark clouds cry, begin your quest. To seek the fabled gem-birds four. Each day, one north, south, east, or west. Arrange their gifts upon my door."
To translate this into actual instructions:
The player will need to wait until it rains on Ginger Island. Once this happens four different rare birds will appear in the north, south, east, and west. The player will then need to explore in those directions until they discover a bird, whereupon the creature will drop a specific gem. That gem will then need to be put on the pedestal that corresponds to that direction. Players should keep in mind that the order and location of these birds are random, so each playthrough will have a different solution. Those who solve the puzzle though will receive five Golden Walnuts for their trouble.
