A dedicated Stardew Valley fan has recently shown off their meticulously designed farm, which took over 20 years in-game time to create. The indie farming simulator, heavily inspired by Harvest Moon, was developed solely by Eric “ConcernedApe” Barone and was first released for PC in 2016.

Despite being a five-year-old game, Stardew Valley continues to receive regular patches on all platforms, with a massive 1.5 content update that was recently released in December 2020. The update focused on adding more late-game content and included new areas, new farm features, and new enemies. While the game has always been consistently popular, thanks to the update, Stardew Valley’s player base reached an all-time record high of over 94,000 players on Steam, no doubt all eager to improve their farms with the features added in the 1.5 patch.

In a recent post by Reddit user StardewValleyTanner, the dedicated fan showed off their spectacular farm, which took 20 in-game years to achieve. The farm was created in 2016, a mere two weeks after the game's release, and required almost 500 real-life hours to reach its current state. The standard farm template was used in order to maximize the area available for building and farming, and prominently features a small circle of giant red mushrooms contrasted by different trees. In the center of the giant mushrooms is a series of statues that produce daily rewards, and the outer edge of the area is surrounded by bee houses. While the farm already looks meticulously put together, the dedicated fan has expressed that it is still a work in progress, but it is almost finished.

Many commenters flocked to the thread to express their awe and incredulity that the farm was not considered finished in the eyes of StardewValleyTanner, with their response stating that further attention needs to be given to the lower-left corner of the farm, and more flowers need to be planted around their bee houses. The fan also revealed how much gold they made during their 20 in-game years; a whopping 669,075,551 gold, making it a very profitable farm.

Thanks to the continuous content updates and quality of life changes to Stardew Valley, the game continues to provide players with interesting new ways to go about their life on the farmstead. Considering the already awe-inspiring current state of StardewValleyTanner’s farm, the finished version will no doubt be even more spectacular. The impressive farm gives players a glimpse of what is possible in Stardew Valley, with just a little time and dedication.
