Stardew Valley is a farming simulation role-playing game that features two primary types of quests: Story Quests and Help Wanted Quests. The latter type is broken into four subcategories, including Gathering, Slaying Monsters, Fishing, and Item Delivery. The further into the game a player advances, the more difficult the quests become and the more valuable the rewards (gold coins, friendship points, and specialty items) are for completing them.

Given the high quantity and patience required, Fishing and Slaying Monsters are usually the most difficult quests, leaving Gathering and Item Delivery among the easiest to navigate in the game.

How To Win Friends

Following the "Introductory Quest" which requires a player to greet 28 people, the next quest is "How to Win Friends." This rudimentary mission allows players to build bonds with others and increase their popularity.

To complete the quest, a player simply needs to give anyone a gift of any kind. There are no seasonal requirements or time limits to complete the task as it's merely meant to introduce players to the basic narrative of the game. The reward for completion is 100 gold coins.

To The Beach

The beach area in Stardew Valley.

After completing the "Introductions," the "Getting Started" subset of quests is the next easiest. These include the farming basics of harvesting a parsnip, building an animal coop, and mounting a scarecrow for a reward of 100 gold coins apiece.

However, the easiest quest to complete in "Getting Started" is the one called "To the Beach." The requirement is to simply visit a man named Willy at the beach located south of town before 5:00 PM. If completed on time, a Bamboo Pole for fishing will be rewarded.

Explore The Mines

The player crossing a bridge leading to the mines.

Once finishing the "Getting Started" series of quests, the next easiest would be to "Explore the Mines." The quest offers no reward for completion but provides expertise in hunting for valuable minerals.

Archaeology

A collection of rocks in the museum.

After finding priceless minerals in the mine shaft, the next easiest quest would be to donate them for a good cause. In the "Archaeology" quest, a man named Gunther asks to bequeath an item to a nearby museum.

Another relatively easy quest to take on would be to "Meet the  Wizard." Once a player reads the Golden Scroll in the Crafts Room of the Community Center, it will unlock the Wizard's Tower and send them a letter to visit the Wizard face to face.

After receiving the letter, the only requirement is to enter the Wizard's Tower. There, he will give the player a potion that will allow them to understand the language of the Junimos, local forest spirits.

Another basic item gathering and delivery quest to try is called "Blackberry Basket." The autumnal mission requires a player to help Linus locate his missing blackberry basket despite having zero clues to its whereabouts. Completion of the quest will yield a single friendship heart as a reward.

To find Linus's basket, head to the tunnel entrance in the Backwoods, located west of the bus stop. While time-consuming, the quest requires no money, specialty items to complete, or difficult bosses to beat.
