In the Star Wars universe, the Jedi - whether they sit on the light side of the Force like Yoda or the dark side like Darth Vader - all contain a Force form within themselves, and it's time fans saw Yoda's. The Force form encapsulates the pure - or, perhaps in the case of the Sith, impure - energy within themselves beneath the flesh that reflects their true selves as altered by their Force powers. A prime example is how Darth Vader's Force form is portrayed in Darth Vader #8 by Charles Soule and Giuseppe Camuncoli, as well as the proceeding 12th issue.

In both comics, Darth Vader's Force form portrays the Sith Lord sitting cross-legged. The top half of his body is engulfed in a mutating, bloody black and red ooze, which dominates the lighter bottom half of his body. This seems to reflect how his shift to the dark side absorbed what would have been Darth Vader's pure energy form when he was still Anakin Skywalker. Meanwhile, his entire aura is surrounded by lightning, darkness, and butterflies that seem to reflect the small glimmer of light that remains in his essence.

Upon seeing the Force form of someone who shifted from the light side to the dark, one may be interested to see the Force form of someone like Yoda. Ideally, given his reputation, one may assume that Yoda's Force form should be of pure light energy, in direct contrast to that of Darth Vader's. However, more recent Star Wars comics have showcased that the seemingly perfect Grand Master Jedi had his own flaws and, thus, his Force form may not be as pure as one may assume.

Darth Vader Force form Star Wars #12

Much of the current canon of Star Wars tends to blame Yoda for the return of the Sith. In fact, issues like Star Wars #20 by Charles Soule and Marco Castiello reflect how Yoda's philosophies directly contradict that which is stated in the prophecies that foretell the rise of the Sith back into power. Oftentimes in the Disney canon, it's been suggested that other Jedi feared and even expected the return of the Sith to eventually happen, voicing their concerns to Yoda, only for the latter to essentially brush them off, not wanting to delve too deeply into the mysteries of the future. Many of his philosophies are shrouded in an attachment of old ideas and, arguably, fear and ignorance.

Speaking of current comics, the High Republic era of Star Wars continues to showcase Yoda's past and as Star Wars continues to infer that Yoda is more flawed than originally suspected, now is as good a time as ever to show audiences what his Force form looks like. Not just to see if his character flaws are reflected in his aura as they are Darth Vader's, but if any of his character flaws can be manifested by a Sith-esque temptation. Or, perhaps, confirm that in spite of his flaws, his energy is exactly as purely white as one would expect.

Now more than ever, audiences need confirmation from Star Wars as to whether or not Yoda is truly as pure as everyone assumes he is, or if his Force form is as tainted as Darth Vader's.
