Mark Hamill reacts to borderline obscene and overall hilarious remarks he signed on old Star Wars trading cards. In 1977’s A New Hope, Hamill made his debut as a humble moisture farmer on the planet Tatooine. Luke Skywalker, alongside Princess Leia, Han Solo, Chewbacca, R2-D2, and C-3PO, went on to become some of the most iconic figures of the century by leading George Lucas’ original Star Wars trilogy (and the much-maligned Star Wars Holiday Special).

In addition to the galaxy far, far away, Hamill has appeared in films like Kingsman: The Secret Service and Brigsby Bear on top of his prolific voice acting career. Most notably, he has voiced the Joker in several DC projects, beginning with the renowned Batman: The Animated Series (1992-1994). That said, Hamill has never been afraid to return to the role that made him a household name, reprising his Jedi Master in Disney/Lucasfilm’s sequel trilogy before making appearances in The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett. Having been the face of that franchise for over four decades, the actor has undoubtedly signed a lot of Star Wars memorabilia.

Hamill recently retweeted a post by Steel City Collectibles, which shows off a collection of classic Star Wars trading cards signed by Luke Skywalker himself. However, he improved them with more than an autograph. For example, one still from Episode V showing Luke on Cloud City caption: "This Vader guy is a loser... hope he doesn't have kids!" Check the rest of them out below:

In addition to his work with the Rebellion, Hamill’s sense of humor and down-to-earth personality make him beloved by Star Wars fans. The actor rarely shies away from autographs and fan interactions. Still, a Hamill signed trading card can set someone back hundreds of dollars even without a phallic joke. Years ago, counterfeit Star Wars autographs actually became somewhat of a problem. In 2015, Hamill launched a campaign to #BeatTheDealers and #FightFraud by identifying genuine signatures from counterfeits via his Twitter account. Over that same period of time, Hamill displayed some of his favorite custom cards as submitted by fans.

The late, great Carrie Fisher once noticed Hamill being guarded about his Star Wars legacy while in a theater program. She famously told him “I am Princess Leia. You're Luke Skywalker. Get used to it.” Not only is he used to it but he’s enhanced his legacy with a little creativity. Unfortunately, that creativity has been sold and shown in public despite the conditions Hamill joked about in his tweet.
