D23 gave nerds a lot of great content to chew on and mull over, including a few Star Wars trailers, which have fans even more excited for upcoming content, not least of all The Mandalorian, which finally got its official teaser trailer released for season 3. It is a fantastic teaser and it being so good has led to many significant reactions from fans on Reddit.
Fans have known about this trailer since Star Wars Celebration, and now it is finally here for all to see. It is already leading to debates around story points and hilarious reactions that show just how excited the fandom is.
It Looks Awesome
Of the three live-action Star Wars shows thus far, there is no doubt that The Mandalorian looks the best, and this stood out to people in the trailer, who immediately noted how beautiful this coming season looks.
Redditor MutFox says in reaction to the trailer, "Looks awesome," and they are not the only one who thinks so. They note that the VFX, costumes, and sets look great, and they really do. The Mandalorian armor, the setting of Mandalore, and the way the ships fly through the air, this trailer does a lot to get fans excited about the show, not just on a narrative level but on a technical, filmmaking level, which will immerse audiences.
Non-Book Of Boba Fett Viewers Will Be Left Confused
One criticism some had about The Book of Boba Fett was that it spent a couple of episodes acting as The Mandalorian season 2.5, and saw Grogu reunited with Din, a major plot point that many think should have been saved.

Crossing Over
There is an argument that Star Wars TV is more consistently awesome than even the movies are. With The Mandalorian at the center of public attention, fans are pleased to see it used to tie the show together.
Redditor CruisinJo214 notes, "As a fan of The Clone Wars series, I'm loving the crossing over of stories digging into the deeper lore." The Clone Wars' influence on the show looks to be increasing in season 3 with Mandalore getting explored, but this also ties it massively to Rebels, which dives further into the history of Mandalore and Mandalorian culture, and sees Bo-Katan take the Darksaber and its responsibilities. Similar to previous seasons of the Mando-verse, this trailer seems to be saying that fans are being rewarded for their passion for Star Wars animation.
Is That Babu Frik?
When this trailer began circulating in the aftermath of Star Wars Celebration, many fans were shocked to hear about the reveal of a certain show-stealer from The Rise of Skywalker.

How Badass Are Mandalorians?
For years fans called out for more content involving Mandalorians, which is partially why expectations were so high going into The Mandalorian's debut season. Season 3 looks to have more Mandalorians together on-screen than fans have seen since Rebels.

One of the multiple fascinating aspects of The Mandalorian is seeing Din learn about other Mandalorians and their ways of life, challenging his idea of the Watch, and seeing him come to grips with who he is and if he aligns with this creed.
Based on the teaser, season 3 looks to be exploring this even further, much to the delight of fans like Redditor Way2Foxy, who says, "Addressing that Children of the Watch is a very creepy cult gives me a lot of hope." The Mandalorian is more than just fun Star Wars; it has some genuinely brilliant character depth and moral exploration, with this season is set to dive into these facets more than the previous two. The Children of the Watch and Din's adherence to their cult ways are at the heart of it all.
The Bo-Katan Hypocrisy
Bo-Katan Kryze is one of the best characters to come out of The Clone Wars. She has already proven to be a highlight of The Mandalorian as a complex and morally grey Mandalorian who wants to restore Mandalore to its past glory. She looks to be the main antagonist of season 3, challenging Din and the overall idea of the Children of the Watch.
As many have pointed out, Bo-Katan is a bit hypocritical in criticizing the Children of the Watch and their ways, with Redditor Singer211 hilariously pointing out, "Bo-Katan, Those who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones" in reaction to the trailer and Bo-Katan's line of "Your cult fractured our people." The Redditor is referring to Death Watch, of which Bo-Katan was a passionate member, deviating from the established ideas of pacifism employed by her sister Satine during her time as Duchess.
Father & Son
For all the fascinating moral ideas, the exploration of Mandalore and Mandalorians, and the general expansion of the Mando-verse, what gets fans most excited about the return of this show is the father-son dynamic of Din and Grogu.
One of the trailer's best moments is when Bo-Katan calls Din Grogu's dad, with many reacting in a feral fashion to this moment, as seen through Redditor valapizzaeris who says, "She called Mando his dad. I'm f***ing crying." This moment definitely brought a tear to many a fan's eyes, and the continuation of their excellent relationship is bound to be a highlight, if not the most remarkable part of what looks to be a phenomenal season of Star Wars TV.
