Star Wars Celebration 2022 was a groundbreaking event for the saga's fans, announcing several new and exciting projects for viewers to look forward to in the coming years. One such series, an animated anthology titled Star Wars: Tales of the Jedipromises to tell the origin stories of various recognizable Jedi from the franchise.

While three characters (Ahsoka Tano, Count Dooku and Qui-Gon Jinn) have been confirmed for the series, there's a lot of room left for discussion about what other Jedi may be featured in the show, and there are a number of eligible characters who deserve to have their stories told.

Yaddle

Master Yaddle is a mysterious member of the Jedi Order who served on the high council during the events of Star Wars: Episode I — The Phantom Menace. She remains one of the few known members of Yoda's species and meets her demise several years before the beginning of the Clone Wars.

Though some comics and books have expanded on Yaddle's story, there is little known about her life. Nevertheless, many fans appear to be interested in this character, who makes only a single appearance in mainline Star Wars media. Tales of the Jedi could explain the character's origin, perhaps lending new insight into the species to which she and Yoda belong.

Quinlan Vos

Quinlan Vos as he appeared in Clone Wars

Quinlan Vos is a compelling character whose life and adventures could make for a great new Star Wars animated spinoff. The character is a maverick who rarely abides by the rules of the Jedi. He has made two major appearances in the franchise, debuting as a cameo in The Phantom Menace and later appearing in Star Wars: The Clone Wars episode "Hunt for Ziro."

Vos is one of the most unusual Jedi from the last days of the Republic. Tales of the Jedi could explain his philosophies of life, showing why he came to disagree with the High Council and how this conclusion caused him to change his practices as a Jedi Knight.

Pong Krell

General Pong Krell with a lightsaber.

Pong Krell is a Jedi general featured in the iconic Umbara storyline from The Clone Wars. The Besalisk served as the interim leader of the 501st Legion when Anakin Skywalker was called away on other duties. It is later revealed that Krell was a traitor to the Jedi, sabotaging the Umbara campaign in an attempt to gain victory for the Separatists.

Despite his heel turn, Krell is one of the best characters in Star Wars: The Clone Wars. One assumes the fallen Jedi was once a devoted and loyal member of the Order who grew disillusioned with his compatriots. Tales of the Jedi could be the last chance to address Krell's fall, perhaps exploring it in more depth.

Shaak Ti

Shaak Ti from Clone Wars.

Shaak Ti is a Togruta Jedi Master who served as a member of the council during the Clone Wars until her death at the hands of Anakin Skywalker during the execution of Order 66. During the Clone Wars, Shaak Ti was responsible for overseeing the training of the Republic's Clone Army on Kamino, serving as the Jedi ambassador to the army's production.

Master Shaak Ti is a recognizable Jedi to fans but has received little screen time or character development in the franchise. The council member deserves to be fleshed out in greater detail, perhaps exploring her history with the Order leading up to her appointment to the Jedi Council.

Ki-Adi-Mundi

Ki-Adi-Mundi with a lightsaber.

Ki-Adi-Mundi is one of the most powerful Jedi depicted in Star Wars, serving as a member of the High Council during the events of all three prequel films. Mundi was killed on the planet Mygeeto when his clone troopers fired upon him after being ordered to exterminate all Jedi.

Despite his large presence in the prequels, Ki-Adi-Mundi has few appearances in any other franchise content, rarely featuring in episodes of The Clone Wars. This iconic Jedi could benefit from his story being told in Tales of the Jedi.

Kanan Jarrus/Caleb Dume

Caleb Dume was the Padawan learner of Jedi council member Depa Billaba before her death at the end of the Clone Wars. Caleb managed to escape the traitorous clone troopers and survive for almost two decades after the rise of the Empire under the moniker of Kanan Jarrus. He would go on to train the Jedi Ezra Bridger, as depicted in the animated series Star Wars: Rebels.

If Star Wars intends to expand on Kanan's story, Tales of the Jedi is the perfect outlet to do so. The character meets his end shortly before the conclusion of Rebels, meaning that the past is the only time in which he can make further appearances. There still remains a plethora of stories that could be told about Kanan's training under Depa Billaba leading up to the end of the Clone Wars and the young Jedi's subsequent exile.

Kit Fisto

Kit Fisto Dual Wielding in Star Wars.

Kit Fisto is a Nautolean Jedi who served as a member of the High Council at the end of the Clone Wars. The character makes several appearances both in live action and animation, only to be killed by Chancellor Palpatine in Star Wars: Episode III — Revenge of the Sith.

Fisto may not be the most heavily featured Jedi in the franchise, but he is one of the most recognizable. The Jedi Master is one of the few members of the Order to face a Sith Lord in combat and was the character that led "Lair of Grievous," one of the best episodes of Star Wars: The Clone Wars. There are more stories to be told featuring this council member.

Luminara Unduli

Luminara Unduli was a member of the council during the Clone Wars and the master of the fallen Jedi Barriss Offee. The character makes her first appearance in Star Wars: Episode II — Attack of the Clones, along with a brief cameo in Revenge of the Sith. Star Wars: Rebels would later reveal that she had indeed been executed by the Empire sometime after the Jedi Purge.

Luminara Unduli is one of the most powerful Jedi during the time of the Clone Wars, yet is rarely explored. Tales of the Jedi would do well to include a story about the often-forgotten Jedi Master, perhaps exploring her reaction to the betrayal of her apprentice.

Plo Koon

Plo Koon is a Kel Dor Jedi Master serving on the High Council during the Clone Wars. He is canonically the Jedi who first discovered Ahsoka Tano and brought her to the Temple on Coruscant. He would later be shot out of the sky by his own clone troopers while piloting his Jedi starfighter on Cato Neimoidia.

Not only should this Jedi Master appear in Tales of the Jedi, but Plo Koon is a Jedi who deserves a spinoff series of his own. Aside from an iconic look and strong connection to the Force, he is also one of the most personable Jedi Masters from The Clone Wars.

Mace Windu

Star Wars Mace Windu

Mace Windu is one of the most powerful (and most arrogant) members of the High Jedi Council in the final days of the Republic. He held fast to many of the ancient Jedi traditions, eventually meeting his end at the hands of Anakin Skywalker after attempting to arrest Chancellor Sheev Palpatine upon learning of his connection to the Sith.

Mace Windu is a fan-favorite character, and fan theories purport that the character survived his apparent death. While he may or may not have actually died, there still could be plenty of stories told about the Jedi Master both before and during the Clone Wars.
