Whether it's the Millenium Falcon outrunning TIE Fighters or X-Wing's making trench runs, fans love all the ships and vehicles that have spawned from the Star Wars saga. The franchise whose success has thrived on the popularity of classics like the Millenium Falcon and the X-Wing has successfully come back with more ships worthy of praise.

With the new trilogy having just finished, this list looks to highlight some of the best starfighters and cruisers alike that made fans' mouths drop upon seeing them in action. With that, here are the top 10 ships from the Star Wars sequel trilogy.

Dreadnaught

The Mandator IV-class Dreadnaught was a step up from the regular Star Destroyer, hence why Poe was so eager to take one down when he had the chance.

A product of the Mandator line, the dreadnaught packed a punch with its orbital bombardment capabilities. These ships instilled nothing but fear into the Resistance, mainly because of its autocannons that did an immense amount of damage. Had it not been for Poe's heroic efforts, it's unlikely the resistance would have successfully escaped.

Starfortress

These B-Wing like bombers were capable of taking out entire fleets if escorted safely to the drop zone. The MG-100 Starfortress, not to be confused with B-29 Superfortress from World War II, was used by the Resistance and eventually coined the name Resistance bomber.

These bombers delivered a large payload, as seen in The Last Jedi, and were considered superior to the Y-Wing bombers which could only do a fraction of what the Starfortress can do.

Ski Speeder

Commonly known as the Ski speeder, these ragtag dusters were all the Resistance could muster against the walkers they faced on Crait. However, despite their appearance the Rebellion often used these for small assault missions similar to the speeders used in the Battle of Hoth from Empire Strikes Back.

Some fans wondered what was sticking out of the bottom of the rusty bucket of bolts, it's actually a stabilizer strut to keep the ship balanced and allow for more altitude.

The Raddus

The command ship of Leia Organa, the Raddus was made famous by Admiral Holdo's light speed maneuver to destroy the Supremacy. Awesome, selfless and simply genius, the Raddus didn't stand a chance against the First Order fleet (especially since it was running out of fuel) but as a means of a collision, it worked perfectly.

The ship is named after Admiral Raddus whose heroic efforts in Rogue One meant the survival of the Rebellion. It may have struggled to repel enemy fire of such magnitude, but it didn't go down without a fight.

TIE Space Superiority Fighter

These may look exactly like the TIE Fighters seen in New Hope, but they're not. The biggest difference between the original and new versions is the two-seater capability in the TIE Superiority Fighter. This allowed for a front gunner and a back, making it difficult for enemies to track and shoot down.

Another improvement is the hyperdrive system, allowing for longer missions rather than the original TIE's. The ones seen in the original trilogy kept close to the Star Destroyers or Death Star to refuel, the First Order ensured this wouldn't be a problem.

Poe's X-Wing

Poe Dameron became the new Wedge Antilles, an ace pilot with a cocky attitude that may have backfired at times. His X-Wing, Black One, was a standard-issue T-70 X-Wing fighter and even had a booster pack installed on the back.

All three entries featured some of the best of what this ship had to offer, reminiscent of Red 5 when Luke Skywalker made his famous trench run on the death star. Poe made a similar one and narrowly escaped with his life.

The Supremacy

Essentially the new Super Star Destroyer (Or Executor, as it was called in Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi), the Supremacy was a mega-class dreadnaught and acted as the command ship of Supreme Leader Snoke.

This was without a doubt the most intimidating and terrifying ship in the First Order's fleet but it was taken down by a minuscule ship going at light speed. Before it's demise, the Resistance (and anyone for that matter) didn't stand a chance against this goliath of a ship, making it one of the most powerful in the new trilogy.

Tallissan Lintra's A-Wing

A-Wing's, like the TIE Interceptors, rely on speed and dexterity to beat their opponents, rather than heavy canons and missiles like the X-Wing's and Y-Wings. Tallisan Lintra, Tallie for short, piloted a blue A-Wing while defending the bombers in The Last Jedi.

Not only was this the return of a fan-favorite vehicle, but a new iteration of the speedy craft. The hue of red was replaced by a blue tint to match its fellow cohorts from Blue Squadron. Seeing as George Lucas originally intended Rogue Squadron to be Blue Squadron, this is his dream come true.

Resistance B-Wing

Making an appearance at the Battle of Exegol, the resistance B-Wing is an homage to the original seen in Return of the Jedi. These Proton bomb-equipped ships were capable of getting in and out of hot spots easily.

While the new trilogy looked to establish a name for itself, the series can't help but bring back some cult favorites like this one, especially for the final battle where the remaining remnants of the rebellion unite with the resistance for one final strike.

TIE Silencer

Think of it as a stretched out TIE Interceptor with enhanced speed capabilities, making it one of the most powerful TIE class fighters in the First Order. Kylo Ren, like his father, was an ace pilot and needed a ship with speed capabilities that matched his skill set.

Though it's no falcon, Ren was extremely talented in outmaneuvering Resistance fighters and rivaled Darth Vader as a pilot. However, it's never mentioned whether or not he used the force to deflect enemy missiles like Vader and other Jedi did.
