ARIES - JYN ERSO
Without the fiery determination of Jyn Erso, the Death Star plans may have never made it to the Rebel Alliance. When every Rebel operative wanted to continue combating the Empire with business as usual, she decided a small group of highly skilled individuals infiltrating the Data Tower at Scarif was the better plan.
Like a true Aries, Jyn was rash and dynamic, often underestimated and undervalued until her strategies paid off. She would be remembered as a pioneer, willing to do whatever it took to complete her mission.
TAURUS - ORSON KRENNIC
As the Director of Advanced Weapons Research for Emperor Palpatine's Imperial military, Orson Krennic sought every opportunity for recognition and advancement. He was anxious for the accolades afforded whoever was credited with the Death Star's completed construction.
Like many a Taurus, Krennic was patient and reliable, which allowed him to rise up through the Imperial ranks. A brilliant tactician, he had a strategy for emerging at the forefront of the Death Star's triumphant reveal. Unfortunately, his greed crippled his tact, and the ambition that once caused him to rise became the method that allowed him to fall.
GEMINI - BODHI ROOK
Once an accomplished Imperial pilot, Bodhi Rook decided to defect to the Rebel Alliance after an encounter with Galen Erso, one of the engineers put in charge of designing the Death Star. His technical skills were invaluable during the many skirmishes against the Empire's ground troops.
Ever the Gemini, Bodhi often vacillated between quick-witted enthusiasm and nervous hysteria. When he combined his practicality and focus with his secret reserve of courage, he became an unstoppable force of heroism.
CANCER - GALEN ERSO
A brilliant scientist who specialized in kyber crystals, Galen Erso was once friends with Orson Krennic in the early days of the Galactic Empire. When Krennic became the Director of Advanced Weapons Research for the Imperial military, he coerced Erso into weaponizing the energy of the crystals to power the Death Star.
A practical and shrewd man like most Cancers, Galen was cautious with his dealings with Krennic. He hid a flaw in the Death Star plans hoping his daughter Jyn would discover its weakness. He clung to the hope that they would be reunited, and that his sacrifices would amount to the Empire's destruction.
LEO - DARTH VADER
At the time of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, the Sith Lord Darth Vader had been the Emperor's scourge for well over a decade. He'd hunted the remaining members of the Jedi Order into extinction, and established himself as the ultimate enforcer of Palpatine's will.
In true Leo fashion, Vader knew his word to be absolute, making him patronizing towards over-ambitious subordinates like Orson Krennic. He put all of the passion, warmth, and love that might have existed in Anakin Skywalker and turned it into hatred and aggression as he hunted down the Rebels responsible for stealing the Death Star plans.
VIRGO - K-2SO
A loyal friend and partner to Rebel operative Cassian Andor, K-2SO was an Imperial security droid before he was captured and reprogrammed to fight against the Empire. Due to his Imperial markings and intelligence, he was primarily used as an undercover agent to blend in at Imperial installations.
Like most Virgos, K-2SO was efficient, prudent, and highly intelligent. Excessively candid, he wasn't afraid to speak his mind in an officious capacity, even if his opinion wasn't warranted. Though he could be known for being extraordinarily fussy and pessimistic, his commitment to due diligence made him a hero in more ways than one.
LIBRA - BAZE MALBUS
Before he became a battle-hardened soldier on Jedha, Baze Malbus was a member of the Guardian of the Whills, peaceful followers of the Force and its teachings. Once the Empire occupied Jedha he became a crack-shot assassin who rarely spoke of his spirituality.
Though he turned his back on his faith, he defended his best friend Chirrut Imwe, a devoted follower of the Force. Like a true Libra, Malbus had a brazen attitude that was at odds with Imwe, but his own scruffy charm. In his chest beat the heart of a true warrior, brave, selfless, and honorable.
SCORPIO - CASSIAN ANDOR
One of the most resolute believers in the purpose of the Rebellion, Cassian Andor had been fighting against the Empire since he was six years old by the time he met Jyn Erso. He took on the most dangerous missions no matter the threat, ready to die for the cause he believed in.
Like most Scorpios, Captain Andor was dependable and highly intelligent. His passion sometimes made him compulsive, and the guarded side of his personality lent itself to secrecy and espionage. He proved his devotion to the Rebel Alliance and to Jyn by stealing the Death Star plans.
SAGITTARIUS - SAW GERRERA
Once one of the best operatives in the Rebel Alliance, Saw Gerrera's increasingly radical views caused him to splinter off from the main contingent. Along with a crew of mercenaries and other fringe Rebels, Gerrera waged his own brand of guerrilla warfare on the Empire.
Gerrera possessed the best and worst traits of a Saggitarius. Once known for being open-hearted and courageous, he had become unpredictable, reckless, and irresponsible in his later years, putting multiple lives at stake (including Jyn Erso's).
CAPRICORN - WILHUFF TARKIN
Grand Moff Wilhuff Tarkin was one of Emperor Palpatine's greatest military leaders. He rose quickly through the ranks of the Imperial military thanks to his ruthless tactics against the Rebel Alliance, and anyone who challenged his authority.
Like most Capricorns, Tarkin was prudent and diligent, never underestimating an opponent whether they wore Rebel red or an Imperial uniform. He saw Director Orson Krennic as a wild card to be exploited, ultimately usurping him as the man whose name would be synonymous with the Empire's superweapon.
AQUARIUS - PRINCESS LEIA
A member of Alderaanian royalty and one of the youngest Senators in the final days of the Republic, Princess Leia may have only appeared briefly in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, but her presence was vital to its plot. She would go on to be one of the most valiant heroes to ever lead the Rebellion.
Like many Aquarians, Princess Leia was open-minded and intuitive. After she received the Death Star plans from Jyn Erso and the other brave Rebel agents, she understood what they meant for the galaxy, and the necessity of getting them into the right hands to honor their sacrifice.
PISCES - CHIRRUT IMWE
A devoted member of the Guardian of the Whills, Chirrut Imwe remained strongly linked to the Force even after Jedha became occupied by the Empire. He understood the risk of helping Jyn Erso steal the Death Star plans, and weighed it against his own complacency.
Sympathetic and kind, like most Pisces, Chirrut Imwe was tolerant of everyone except those that caused harm to others. He lived by a strict moral code and was selfless when it came to protecting those in peril. He could be idealistic, but it was dangerous to attribute his easy-going demeanor to naivety.
