Star Wars Resistance flies on to television screens every Sunday, first premiering on the Disney Channel, followed by regular airings on Disney XD. The series is the latest animated series in Disney's continuation of the Star Wars saga, set six months prior to Star Wars: The Force Awakens and featuring a young Resistance spy as he goes undercover at an airship refueling station.

Along with a little espionage, Resistance will largely focus on the competitive starship racing that takes place in the skies above the refueling station. Dubbed Colossus, the station is located on the Outer Rim planet, Castilon, and caters to thrill-seeking pilots and anyone else looking to score some credits by betting on the races. It's basically a tamer, more family-friendly spin on the Mos Eisley cantina with a little of the energy and excitement that surrounds pod-racing thrown in.

The cast for Star Wars Resistance is mostly franchise newcomers with a few familiar characters (as well as their movie-star voices) sprinkled throughout as recurring guests. Here's a rundown of all the main characters in Resistance, as well as who voices them, and where you may have heard (or seen) them before.

Meet Team Fireball

Christopher Sean as Kazuda "Kaz" Xiono: A starry-eyed, young pilot in the New Republic Navy, Kaz is also the son of a senator in the New Republic's Galactic Senate. While on a reconnaissance mission, Kaz is recruited by Poe Dameron to become a spy for the Resistance. Stationed on the Colossus, Kaz's mission is to discover who on the station is loyal to the Resistance and who favors the First Order. As his cover, Kaz works as a mechanic in Jarek Yeager's repair shop and flies as a racer for Team Fireball. Kaz is voiced by Christopher Sean, an actor best known for his recurring role on CBS's Hawaii Five-0 and who is currently appearing as Paul Narita on the NBC soap opera, Days of Our Lives.

Suzie McGrath as Tam Ryvora: A mechanic in Jarek Yeager's shop, Tam isn't too impressed with Kaz when he first arrives. Still, she agrees to fix up the Fireball starship so that he can fly it in a race to prove he really is the "best pilot in the galaxy." Voicing Tam is Suzie McGrath, a British actress who got her start on EastEnders and Law & Order: UK.

Josh Brener as Neeku Vozo: An eager mechanic who works in Yeager's repair ship, Neeku is a Kadas'sa'Nikto and only non-human on Team Fireball (not including droids). He takes things too literally (think Drax from Guardians of the Galaxy), is also very easily impressed, and quick to boast of his new friend Kaz's skill as a pilot. Neeku is voiced by Josh Brener of Silicon Valley, where he plays Nelson "Big Head" Bighetti.

Scott Lawrence as Jarek Yeager: Owner and operator of the eponymous repair shop, Jarek Yeager was formerly a pilot in Rebel Alliance and is a veteran of the Galactic Civil War. He gives Kaz a job at his shop as a favor to Poe Dameron and is the only person on Colossus who knows about Kaz's real mission as a Resistance spy. Yeager is also the leader of Team Fireball, where he mentors young, hot-shot starship pilots. He is played by Scott Lawrence, an actor best known for portraying Cmdr. Sturgis Turner on the CBS series JAG, but who has also voiced Darth Vader for a number of Star Wars video games, including Star Wars: TIE Fighter and Star Wars: Battlefront II.

R1-J5 as R1-J5, AKA "Bucket": Jarek Yeager's astromech droid is an older model with outdated programming, but remains a capable mechanic. He's a bit cantankerous, making him not so unlike Chopper from Star Wars Rebels.

Page 2: Aces and Colossus

Meet The Aces

Donald Faison as Hype Fazon: This Rodian is the leader of Ace Squadron (Aces for short) - a group of starfighter pilots employed by the Colossus refueling station for security and defense - and is considered by many to be the best pilot on Colossus. His call sign is Ace One and his starship is known as Green Ace. Hype Fazon is voiced by Donald Faison who is known to most as Dr. Chris Turk from the comedy series, Scrubs. According to Resistance producer Dave Filoni, Hype's name and personality were inspired by Faison.

Myrna Velasco as Torra Doza: The daughter of the Colossus station operator, Captain Imanuel Doza, Torra lives within the facility's upper levels. An energetic and competitive pilot, Torra is also a member of the Aces, flying the starship, Blue Ace. Myrna Velasco, an actress whose credits include Elena of Avalor and We Bare Bears, is voicing Torra.

Mary Elizabeth McGlynn as Freya Fenris: Another member of Ace Squadron, Freya Fenris pilots the Red Ace. She is portrayed by Mary Elizabeth McGlynn, who also voiced Governor Arihnda Pryce on Star Wars Rebels.

Stephen Stanton as Griff Hollaron: Pilot of a modified TIE Fighter known as the Black Ace, it isn't known whether or not Griff Hollaron was actually a member of the Galactic Empire's Imperial Navy, but he does evoke their style with both his uniform and starship. He also has tattoos of the Imperial crest on both his arms. Griff is voiced by Stephen Stanton, an actor not at all new to Star Wars, having portrayed Grand Moff Tarkin on Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels as well Admiral Raddus in Rogue One.

Unknown Actor as Bo Keevil: A pilot of few words, Bo Keevil is a Kel Dor who flies the Yellow Ace. It is currently unknown who (if anyone) voices the character.

Meet The Colossus' Crew

Tovah Feldshuh as Aunt Z: The proprietor of the most popular (and only) tavern on Colossus, Aunt Z - full name, Z'Vk'Thkrkza - is a Gilliand who can be a little blunt, especially with hot-headed pilots, but only has her patrons best interest in mind. She also collects and manages the extensive gambling scene that surrounds the races on Colossus. Aunt Z is played by Tovah Feldshuh, who audiences will recognize as Alexandria leader, Deanna Monroe from AMC's The Walking Dead.

Greg Proops as Jak Sivrak: A character who isn't seen but heard, Jak Sivrak is the race announcer for Colossus. A neat callback to Episode 1: The Phantom Menace, Jak is voiced by none other than Greg Proops, the comedian responsible for the Basic-speaking head of that film's pod-racing announcer, Fodesinbeed Annodue. The character's name is also a play on Lak Sivrak, the name given to the wolf-headed alien originally seen in the Mos Eisley cantina in A New Hope (pre-Special Edition).

Bobby Moynihan as Orka: In order to compete in races, Kaz has to buy the supplies Tam needs to repair the Fireball. This is where Orka comes in, who along with his partner Flix, runs a supply shop on the Colossus. Orka is a small, pig-looking alien voiced by former SNL cast member, Bobby Moynihan.

Jim Rash as Flix: Joining Orka in the supply shop is Flix, a bird-like alien with very long legs. He's voiced by Jim Rash, the Academy Award-winning writer of The Descendants and actor best known for playing Dean Craig Pelton on Community.

Elijah Wood as Jace Rucklin: As of this writing, all we know about Jace Rucklin is that he's a fellow pilot who pressures Kaz into stealing hyperfuel from Jarek Yeager in the series' fourth episode, 'Fuel for the Fire'. It isn't much, but considering they've cast Lords of The Rings' Frodo Baggins himself, Elijah Wood, Jace is sure to have an important, recurring role on the series.

Page 3: Resistance and the First Order

Meet The Resistance

Oscar Isaac as Poe Dameron: One of a few characters crossing over from the big screen to the little, Poe Dameron appears in the first episode of Star Wars Resistance. He's working to uncover any information he can about rumors the First Order is planning a direct attack against the New Republic, recruiting Kaz to be his eyes and ears on Colossus. Since the series is set just six months prior to the events of The Force Awakens (wherein that rumored attack becomes a reality), Poe is largely the same confident, dashing pilot we first meet at the start of Episode VII. Oscar Isaac returns to voice Poe, who will presumably appear sporadically throughout the series.

Rachel Butera as General Leia Organa: Given the timeframe of the series, the Resistance is still in its early stages and General Leia Organa is hard at work building the coalition. Leia only appears briefly in the first episode of Star Wars Resistance, glimpsed conferring with Poe via holovid. She is voiced by actress/impressionist, Rachel Butera, who has several voice credits across many series, including recent iterations of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle.

BB-8 as BB-8: When Poe leaves Kaz to his spy duties on the Colossus, he leaves behind his trusty droid, BB-8 to watch over him. BB-8 is the only movie-character who will regularly appear on Star Wars Resistance.

Meet The First Order

Lex Lang as Major Vonreg: Though only seen in the opening minutes of the Star Wars Resistance premiere (and again, briefly, in the final minutes), Major Elrik Vonreg is poised to be the main antagonist of the series. A pilot in the First Order, Vonreg flies a modified TIE Fighter and wears a custom TIE pilot uniform - both in a very distinct crimson shade. Dave Filoni considers Vonreg to be their version of the Red Baron. He's voiced by actor Lex Lang, who has credits across dozens of anime and cartoons, even including a stint as Poe Dameron in LEGO Star Wars: The Resistance Rises.

Gwendoline Christie as Captain Phasma: At this point in the timeline, Captain Phasma is training the next generation of stormtroopers (including one FN-2187 - AKA Finn) and hunting down Resistance spies - a task that will bring her directly into the action of this series. Phasma is expected to first appear in episode three, 'The Triple Dark', where actress Gwendoline Christie will reprise her role from the films as the chrome-clad commander.

Adam Driver as Kylo Ren: As of this writing, Kylo Ren appearing on Star Wars Resistance hasn't been officially confirmed, but a ship that looks very similar to Ren's command shuttle can be spotted in the extended trailer. Plus, given the time frame, it'd make a lot of narrative sense to work the character in, not too mention possibly including the Knights of Ren or even General Hux. Were Kylo Ren to appear, it's likely Adam Driver would reprise the role similarly to what his film co-stars have done.
